Kristin Barton is a Traditional Wiccan High Priestess and coven leader. Having written professionally since 2002, she recently completed her first book on Wicca, "Prerequisite to Wicca 101: A High Priestess Reveals What Beginner Books Won't Tell" as a response to overwhelming requests to write a book that covers what so many beginner books leave out. Kristin has written about Wicca extensively on the web and has talked with hundreds of new seekers who felt frustrated that beginner books don't address certain key facts about the Wiccan path.

Kristin lives in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN with her High Priest and husband, Chuck, her adult daughter and one of 5 grandchildren. Holding a B.A. in Human Services Administration, Kristin has worked ex

This book came about because I wrote a lot on the internet about the subject and I was asked the same questions over and over by new seekers. That led to the creation of my website, and also to the writing of my book, "Prerequisite to Wicca 101: A High Priestess Reveals What Beginner Books Won't Tell." New seekers can be confused by the vast, contradictory, and sometimes just bad "information" out there. I wanted to address what I see beginner books leave out repeatedly. New seekers deserve good information, and this book seeks to set the record straight, saving seekers time, effort, and money. I chose to self-publish because working with a big publishing house is out of the question when the subject of one's book includes what's wrong with Wiccan books on the market today. (less)
