So the key to avoiding writer's block is mixing-up my day to match my mood. I have found this strategy very effective. And if I feel like writing but seem to be having trouble kick-starting a writing session, I read my last chapters and this usually reignites my excitement to move the story forward :)(less)

How was your weekend?

Sending love back at you, friend :D

Julia Ash Hi Friends!

I wanted to let you know that pirated copies of my books were on a site called: Luckily, they took my books down.

Authors, you might want to check out the site to make sure your books aren't on the site. I wrote them an email which read:

Hello,

I wanted to thank you for removing my books from your Bookinistika website!

The pirated copies posted on your website were a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) violation. Since my books are registered with the U.S. Library of Congress, this insurance policy allows the U.S. to sue on my behalf.

I'm grateful that I did not need to pursue this option, since my books are no longer available on your website.

I will be monitoring your site to ensure that my books will continue to not be available on your site, since your company would be illegally collecting my royalties.

Again, thank you for taking them down. I do appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Julia Ash

Thank you for accepting my friend request, Mike!

I felt the same way about THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS as you did, and I recommend the sequel. I love when elements of science are used to explain the fantastical. I find that cool :)

Looking forward to seeing what books you like and recommend!

Happy reading to you as well,

Julia :)

message 5: by Mike

Mike Thanks for the friend invite, Julia. I really enjoyed what you had to say about "The Howling" and I can clearly see you appreciate M.R. Carey's books. I thought "The Girl with all the Gifts" was a really interesting spin on the genre combined with some really intelligent writing and look forward to checking out the rest of that author's books. Looking forward to future interactions. Happy reading in the meantime!

Aqsa Julia said: "Hi! I saw that you liked my status update (I'm reading Dracul which is awesome), so I compared our books. Not a lot in common, in terms of "have read." But you liked the HUNGER GAMES which is a favorite of mine and I see you liked THE 7 1/2 DEATHS OF EVELYN HARDCASTLE and I'll be reading that soon! I'm thinking you would love THE RAVEN BOYS, another favorite YA of mine!"

Hi! Thank you for the request and the recommendation, Julia :) Yes, I really want to read Dracul! I loved The Hunger Games, it was really good and so was Evelyn Hardcastle. I hope you enjoyed it if you have already read it. If not, I hope you love it! As for 'read' books, it's been a year and a half since I started reading so I have a lot to catch up on and I can't wait to get more books in common. I tried The Raven Boys but I couldn't enjoy it so much as I wanted to. I put it on hold but I do plan to start it again and see if it was my mood that ruined my experience.

Thanks again. Looking forward to see you around!
Have a good weekend!

P.S. I will not be notified if you replied here. Please message me or comment on my profile, thanks :)

˥ĦℝΪՖƬΪℕÅ Heyyy, Julia! Thanks for the friend-vite. I love making new book friends and enjoy chatting all things books, of course, lol :D I just added The Passage to my tbr, thanks for that. I love giving/receiving book recommendations. So that being said, you've gotta read Vampire Academy series. Its one of my all-time favorites! You should also read Shatter Me series, Beautiful Disaster ( Beautiful) series, Reason to Breathe (Breathing) trilogy and if you love romance, I highly recommend Mia Sheridan books :) I get a little carried away lmbo. Looking forward to seeing you around GR. Here's to a long and happy friendship!! xoxo

Happy Reading (❛‿❛) <3
