Kindle Scout
I submitted my newest stand alone mystery, SECRETS OF THE TUNNELS, to Kindle. To my surprise, they wrote back and said they would like to consider it for publication. However, before seriously considering it, they want to make sure the book has enough reader support.
So now it's competing for publication against other books. Lots of people have nominated it for publication and it shot up to their Hot and Trending List.
Then, everybody who wanted to nominate it has and the book is slowly sliding down the favorite list. Sigh.
Wish I had never checked on the book's status. It's making me a nervous wreck. Wish I had simply just let it be and not know its status until Amazon tells me whether or not they will publish.
Too late now, I guess. Think I'll go over to the site and see how the book is doing.
BTW, if any of you want to nominate it, all you have to do is go to and click on nominate this book.
While you're there, you can read the first 5 chapters to see if you really think the book should be nominated. Also, if you nominate it, and the book gets accepted for publication, you'll receive a free copy from them.

Secrets of the Tunnels
I'm breaking away from the traditional series books. So far I have two series going: the Harry Bronson series, the latest one is When the Past Haunts You. The other series is the Aimme Brent series and the latest one is Vengeance in My Heart.
Now I'm getting ready to release my first stand alone, Secrets of the Tunnels, which deals with a great treasure concealed deep in the El Paso tunnels. But it's also a book about becoming strong, beating overwhelming odds, power, and betrayal.
Hope you all will like it and will embrace the idea of a stand alone.
How do you all feel about a stand alone?

LCC e-book promotion opportunity
Left Coast Crime, which will be held March 21-March 24 in Colorado Springs, is offering a fantastic e-book promotion opportunity. If you’re willing to donate $3 to $5 (more if you want), I’ll use that money to buy a Kindle (Amazon) and Nook (B&N) gift cards.
If I collect enough money, I’ll put a card in the book bag we give away to each of the LCC attendees. If not, we’ll hold a drawing during the banquet and give the cards away to X number of winners. The number of winners depends on the amount of money we raise.
For those of you who donate money, send me the name of your e-book(s)—no more than three titles—and the url. I’ll create a master list (in alphabetical order by author’s last name.) The top of the list will read: The following authors kindly donated money to go toward the purchase of the Amazon/B&N card you received. We would appreciate it if the book you choose is one from the following list. However, there’s no restriction as to what you can purchase—but we do appreciate your support.
