Mira Hadlow is an outspoken Canadian writer, self proclaimed romantic, and champion for the underdog. After an abusive relationship rendered her permanently deaf, she turned to writing as a path to healing and has become passionate about being a voice for the voiceless. Mira believes in ferocious vulnerability, unapologetic truth, and bravely facing ones shadow side. She believes the path to healing is found by learning to sit with -and make room for- grief, fear, and sorrow.

Mira is a quirky, creative soul and you can usually find her renovating a kitchen, losing her cup of coffee for the forty seventh time, or picking a fight with an authority figure.

Some precarious balance of shadow and light.

Because those who feel the weight of beauty always risk being destroyed by it.”
Mira Hadlow, As Muses Burn

Mira Hadlow, As Muses Burn

On those days, we called it love.”
Mira Hadlow, As Muses Burn

“And somehow, the thunder in him silenced the thunder in me.”
Mira Hadlow, As Muses Burn

“I have lived a hundred lifetimes and known a thousand men. You're man enough to speak your mind, but too cowardly to claim me.”
Mira Hadlow, As Muses Burn

“This was the cruelest of ironies; you only loved the parts of me that needed finding, and I had to choose between losing everything and staying lost.”
Mira Hadlow, As Muses Burn

And I knew I'd let you.”
Mira Hadlow, As Muses Burn
