I would say that I've tried to make my novels within IPs as approachable as possible for someone not versed in the lore, but even so books like 'Rise of the Celestians' and the Skaven Wars series rely on some prior knowledge of the setting. Perhaps the Brunner the Bounty Hunter omnibus would be a good starting point, or 'Age of the Undead', the first in my Zombicide trilogy. In a more horror vein, I'm quite proud of 'Castle of Blood'.(less)

Howard. That last one was a collection put together to promote the Jason Momoa movie and has, what I consider, the greatest hits from Howard's Conan stories. (less)

Jason Waltz is on page 315 of 504 of Triggernometry: John Slaughter was a name I'd heard but knew not much of. Seems one tough hombre. Happens to have been Sheriff of Cochise County,AZ...a county I actually know because my grandparents lived there. So was cool reading this. An efficient and effective lawman - like we need today.

Quotes are added by the Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ community and are not verified by Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ.

“Revenge is my honour,â€ the Iron Warrior growled, his words echoing from the marble walls. Rhodaan’s voice was an alchemy of pride and bitterness. After millennia of unending war, he knew the Legion’s thirst for revenge would never be quenched and so he was doomed to die without honour. The moment the Legion’s flesh-rippers had claimed him, he had become one of the damned. They had given him strength and power beyond anything a mere mortal could possess, but in return they had taken everything.”
C.L. Werner, The Siege of Castellax

“Only happy people have nightmares, from overeating. For those who live a nightmare reality, sleep is a black hole, lost in time, like death.”
Guy Sajer, The Forgotten Soldier

“When a nation forgets her skill in war, when her religion becomes a mockery, when the whole nation becomes a nation of money-grabbers, then the wild tribes, the barbarians drive in... Who will our invaders be? From whence will they come?”
Robert E. Howard
