Fossil Droppings Reveal Oldest Evidence of Butterflies

Which came firstthe butterfly or the flower? Well, according to evolutionary ideas, the butterfly came first. And makes this chicken and egg problem worse by supposedly pushing back the origin of butterflies to 236 million years agoabout 100 million years before the first flowering plants supposedly emerged. So what were butterflies consuming all that time?

Well, this new fossil evidence of butterflies comes from a fossil dropping (a coprolite) discovered in Argentina. Un...

Why Do 70% of Young People Leave the Church in College?

Ive often shared the statistic that of young people will leave the church by the time they reach college ageand very few return. I was reminded of this recently when I saw a someone shared on social media that said,

Fact: 7088% of youth born in evangelical homes leave the faith after one year in a secular college.

Maybe. Just maybe. We start to focus on more doctrine, more ability to explain what and why they believe, and less performance, less trend, less show, less ente...

Only 1 in 4 Mainline Pastors Believe in Adam and Eve

The vast majority of mainline Protestant pastors here in America dont believe the Bible.

And thats not hyperbole from the National Survey of Religious Leaders, only 25% of such pastors say theyre certain that Adam and Eve were real people (by comparison, the study notes 80% of Evangelical pastors and 89% of black Protestant clergy affirm this belief with certainty). Only 1 in 4 believe in a literal Adam and Eve! Thats certainly a contrast to the...

A Legacy of Two MenOne Evil, One Godly

Earlier this week, I wrote about the evil legacy of a French scientist, tienne-mile Baulieu, who died recently at the age of 98. This man was the inventor of the abortion pill, a chemical concoction that has cost untold millions of children their lives and has seriously harmed women. For Fathers Day today, I thought I would contrast his legacy with that of a man whose passing didnt make the headlines but whose legacy is a rich and godly one: my father, Mervyn Ham.

Just this past week, ...

Partnering with Faithful Fathers

During this month (June) in the US, we celebrate Fathers Day. Now, its interesting to me that this July is the 100th anniversary of the famous Scopes Trial. What really hit me was the fact that there are some very important lessons for fathers to learn from the Scopes Trial that could be used to positively impact families.

Now, this month is also a sad time when sexual immorality is celebrated in a big way by those who call this a celebration of Pride. Maybe you dont see the conne...

A Deadly Legacy: Inventor of the Abortion Pill Dies at Age 98

The Lord hates . . . hands that shed innocent blood. (Proverbs 6:1617)

A French scientist, tienne-mile Baulieu, who recently died at the age of 98, is being hailed around the world as a beacon of courage and a world-changer, a hero for womens rights. But his legacy isnt one that uplifts womenits a legacy of bloodshed and brokenness. A legacy of death.

According to the BBC, this man was the inventor of RU-486, commonly known as mifepristone, an oral drug they s...
