Rex Fuller was born in Kansas City to a farmer's daughter and a seaman's son, in the Baby Boom's first wave. Raised in small towns of the heartland, within a day's drive west of the Mississippi, he attended Catholic schools and is still married to his high school sweetheart. He holds degrees from the University of Nebraska (BA & JD) and George Washington University (LLM). He was stationed as a military lawyer throughout the United States, often in "the Building," and in Europe. He is now a self-employed lawyer in Southern Maryland and is blessed with his wife, and grown son and daughter, all unimaginably beautiful. ...more

“Sunlight Chisels out every angle, swale, and creature on the surface, and ties you right to everything by your eyesight. The sky usually shines so blue it will make your eyes hurt. The ground glows a fine gold and the sky cuts right into the horizon like a blue knife into a warm loaf of bread.”

Rex Fuller Thanks for asking Nila. It is my goal to get them on Nook by the end of the summer. They are available on Amazon in print and Kindle versions.

message 20: by Nila

Nila hey Rex
I just looked at B&N for your books and I can't find them in Nook version when will they be available?

Diane Carey How could I forget Lee Child & Baldaccii! I s
have all of James Lee Burke to read! My library
Now ha books starting to stack on the floor
In lieu of the floor to ceiling shelves!

Diane Carey How could I ever have forgotten Lee Child!

message 13: by Diane

Diane Carey You seem to enjoy Elmore Leonard. I have never
Read him but will have to give him a try! I read only fiction
and have a wide variety of taste depending
On my mood! I used to read 2 books a week but have slowed down
recently. I discovered Linwood Barclay lately
& find his books more unusual. I also found
C.J Box for a slower but interesting read. The
main character is a game warden in the
Wyoming mountains. Michael Connely is my
favorite but Vince Flynn is right up there with him!
For really unusual & non stop action try James
Rollins!

message 12: by Kay

Kay Rex,
If you are looking for a great book on writing I strongly encourage you to seek out Stephen King's book, On Writing. I've used in multiple times in class with my students as well as to improve my personal journal and editorial writing. It is a powerful book by someone that obviously knows what he is doing. Maybe I'm a little biased because he was teaching writing when he wrote it. I will say it is difficult to find except as new as people tend to keep it. I have had mine "borrowed" about 5 times and Half-Priced Books rately has one.
Best of luck in your endeavors.

message 11: by Sheila

Sheila I like Michael Connelly, Lee Child, Tom Clancy, Jeffery Archer, John Grisham, Ayn Rand, David Baldacci, Irving Wallace many other good writers. Thank you Rex Fuller for invitation to be your friend. Happy reading

message 10: by Matt

Matt Rex,
I noticed that you have several military books on your read shelf. One that I would recommend is the non-fiction "Thunder Run" by David Zucchino. It's about the final push into Baghdad by the 3rd ID. I just thought you might enjoy it.

Jim Gilliam Thanks Rex.

I'm wearing US Navy utility coveralls. Date Sept. 2005 as we were going through the Suez Canal (The Ditch)it was shot from the signal bridge of the USNS MOUNT BAKER T-AE 34 (America's Floating Arsenal) background is an Egyptian Army base and mosque. I Began writing my first novel POINT DECEPTION as we cruised off the coast of Kuwait in 2008 (forth deployment to the Gulf). Before the Navy gig, I was an airborne combat physician assistant. I've finished my second novel TARNISHED HERO and am looking for an agent/publisher. I'm also 13,000 words into my third novel The SADM Project the primise is, one of our tactical NUKEs is missing! This book is set up in the ending of TARNISHED HERO. "How do you want the Press Secretary to spin this Mister President?" "There is to be no spin and no leaks. Outside the two of us and those present in the Situation Room no one is to hear of this. Understand?" "Yes Mister President."

Rex Fuller Thanks for the suggestion, Dave. Have read a few of Sandford's and I like them. I may be one of the few who prefer the Virgil Flowers to the Lucas Davenport books.

message 6: by Dave

Dave Wine Rex,
Connelly is one of my favorites, but John Sandford is at the top of my list. Great character development and great writing. Have you read his Prey Series, if not start at the beginning.

message 5: by Rex

Rex Fuller Pat, thanks. Yeah, have read all of Crais, and all of Child. I have yet to start the others (my habit is to read through all of an author I like). Currently working on James Lee Burke, who I suspect you would like if you've not already tried him.
