Really glad you enjoyed it, thanks! I think they did a great job with the adaptation. In the original story it's very clear the creature in chains is an elder god and I describe it as having many eyes and chains passing through its flesh, but I left it a little ambiguous as to who/what it really was. Absolutely the implication is that it could have been Cthulhu or equally a similar non-Lovecraftian cosmic entity. The adaptation went 100% in with "It's definitely Cthulhu!" and I'm fine with that. I think they did an amazing job with it.(less)

Reassurance and travel plans

Hello, fiends. How the fuck are ya?

Let me start by reassuring folks. Last newsletter was perceived by many as a bit doom and gloom and several people checked in to make sure I was really okay. I really am! Honest. This business sucks balls sometimes, but taking the big picture into account, I’m really okay.

I will always be honest with you in missives like this because I

Alan Baxter I've just added all the books of The Belgariad and The Mallorean, along with Belgarath The Sorcerer and Polgara The Sorceress to my shelves. It's terribly sad news to hear that David Eddings has died. These books are part of the reason I became an author.

Christine Hi from down under Alan, thanks for being a friend. I hope to hear more from you.
