Aulay's story, The Highlander's Promise

I'm amazed my new release, The Highlander's Promise (Highland Brides #6), will be coming out as of midnight tonight!

Many readers have been asking after the eldest Buchanan brother so I'm thrilled to say it's finally here and we get to find out the full story about Aulay, what he’s gone through, and what happened to Ewan, his twin brother.

You’ll also get to meet the mystery lady whom Aulay rescues when he finds her badly injured, floating offshore and tied to the broken mast of a ship. With no memory of who she is or how she got to be there, Aulay christens her Jetta due to her beautiful jet-black hair.  When she finds Aulay in her bedchamber upon waking, Jetta mistakenly assumes they're married and he's forced to keep up the pretense until her health improves.  Their relationship starts out as a ruse but will become more and more real every day they spend together.

This is the fourth story involving a Buchanan so there are still a few single Buchanan brothers left. Who knew this clan would be so prolific and become so powerful in such a short span of time?

The Highland Brides series is a thrilling, action-packed, passionate, hilarious romp that will inevitably involve a LOT of nosy friends and family.  So, hold on to your sunhats and fishing rods peeps because the Buchanans are back!

You can check out more of its here...

Clarice Couldn't put it down. It is just something about those Buchanan men and Woman. I enjoy those challenges that come there way. Thinking that no woman would want him after the scar on his face, Aulay has retreated to his hunting lodge to be by himself, when he pulls a half-dead woman from the sea. Having no memory as who she is, she only sees Aulay as an angel who has saved her. Aulay named her Jetta, who sees deep into Aulay heart and soul. Sees the goodness in him, however, someone doesn't want Jetta to remember who she is, also wants her life as well. Aulay tells Jetta that she can trust him to protect and take care of her. Can she trust him to keep her safe?

Bobbi Can't wait for the next one. Although I'm wanting to find out what happens when it comes time for Rory's story. He's my second favorite after Auley.

I do have plans for Rory but his story will still be a while in the coming since Conran's is next and then Geordie's. In the meantime he will appear as a secondary character until he gets his own.

Take care,
Lynsay

Jessica J Absolutely loved it!!! Aulay (Oli) is so sweet! I can totally imagine him in my mind and heart with Jetta!!!❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for this!! No pressure but! Can’t wait for the next one in the series! We do have more Buchanan brothers!!😂

message 20: by Clarice (new)

Clarice I love the way that Lynsay writes these stories. I feel as if I am there with them. They seem to real to me. Championing for the good people we meet in these stories. I also love her Argeneau Novels. I am rooting for the vampires. If they were real, I love me and speak with them. I would have a few choice words for Lucian Argeneau. So impressed with these stories, that I am treating them as real people.

Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed Aulay and Jetta's story Jessica! Very happy to hear you enjoyed it.
And Yes there will be plenty more stories... at least another four to go anyhow!
Sorry about the wait but the next one, The Wrong Highlander, won't be out until January.
Thanks for the note Jessica.

LOL...Well thank you Clarice! I, too, wish they were real and I'm sure Lucian would get an earful from quite aq few people...not that he'd care.
(Although I guess they kind of are to an extent since I often base at least a part of their personalities on real people...shrug.)
Happy reading Clarice!

Clarice Lynsay, You keep writing them, I will keep reading them.

message 24: by Bobbi (new)

Bobbi Am I the only one to counts Lucian as my favorite character? I love all of them but he is by far my favorite. The way he cares for his family and is willing to do whatever to keep them safe, I wish more men were like that.

Hi Bobbi...
Actually both Lucian and Marguerite are my favourite characters in the series, and according to the readers that write me he is the fave of many readers as well.
But many readers also love to hate him because he has to make the hard decisions and as such can be such a hard-ass at times.
Readers really do have a love/hate relationship with Lucian...LOL

Janice I deleted that comment, as a didn't want to put in a "spoiler", but still feel it. I really felt sorry for Martine, in Twice Bitten. Liked her lifemate.

Clarice Sometimes Mothers, Fathers, and family can go just too far. We want the very best for our children, making the world safe for them, however, some of us forget, that OUR CHILDREN have to make those choices for themselves! Which why I love reading Lynsay stories make them seem very real to me. She lets us see her characters as real people that we can understand. She does it well.

Janice Very true. I love her Immortals. I'm doing lots of stuff on Twitter, now. Have a great day.

Hi Zoraya,

Thank you for the message and I'm happy to hear you're enjoying my stories. 😀

As for another book after the Chase... though I don't have any immediate plans to write a continuation to “The Deed, Key and Chase series, I have thought about revisiting some of the secondary characters from some of the older historicals I wrote. So maybe is the best answer I can give at this point.

The same goes for The Devil Of The Highlands series I don't have any immediate plans to write a continuation. I have thought about revisiting some of the secondary characters from this series like Ian or Will but so far no character has come to the forefront for me to write about.

I’m currently working on the Highland Brides series (The Buchanans) and have a few more stories in mind for this one beyond the next book, which is Geordie’s story set to come out in early 2020.

Thanks again for the note Zoraya and happy reading!

Take care,
Lynsay
