Write of Passage
Interviewed recently for a role at Write of Passage, which touts itself as a high-end course on how to make $$$ from writing.
The course costs $4,000. That's not a typo.
As a self published author and a 25+ year marketing executive, I caught a distinct whiff of scamminess.
In the spirit of comradeahip, here is my free course:
1. DONT pay anyone $4,000 to learn how to make money writing.
2. KNOW going in that luck and timing are huge factors. There us no "formula for success" in this field.
3. TALK to other authors. You will learn more from them than from any course.
4. LISTEN to your readers. Feedback is gold, even (especially!) negative feedback.
5. BEWARE of scammers. The ratio of scammers to authors appears to be almost 1:1.
