I bought this book only to find out it's part of a series. Do I need to read the previous eleven books to understand what's going on?

Lisa I get most of my books from book exchange programs (leave one, take one), or at the library for cheap (donated to help raise funds) or borrow Play-Awaâ€¦m´Ç°ù±ðI get most of my books from book exchange programs (leave one, take one), or at the library for cheap (donated to help raise funds) or borrow Play-Away audio from the library. I have read several of this series in no particular order. It usually takes me a couple of minutes to figure out when it fits, but then I'm good.

My first was one that took place in a New York Museum and it sucked me in.(less)

What did you think of this book? I just can't decide whether I liked it or didn't like it. But I know I couldn't stop reading! And I am sure there will be another one if there isn't already!

Lisa I feel like the authors had three ideas for books, but instead of fleshing the other two out (Corrie & Constance's threads) they just braided them intâ€¦m´Ç°ù±ðI feel like the authors had three ideas for books, but instead of fleshing the other two out (Corrie & Constance's threads) they just braided them into this. I think those stories could have been fleshed out as stand alones, or could have been included in a book of novellas. Pendergast's story was riveting, and any time there was a shift, it was jarring. Not that I don't like the other characters, or found them boring... they just didn't fit.(less)
