Hi all, I'm about 40% of my way through the book and am wondering if there is any more Halloween to come, or was the party the extent of it? It's not feeling very Halloweeny and I'm getting ready to switch to another book! Big thanks

Stephanie I wish there was more Hallween. I chose it to be Halloweeny and it certainly did not deliver.

Do I need to read the other books in this series in order to enjoy this one or would I be able to enjoy it as a standalone by any chance? Thanks!

There is talk of drugs and hippies. But did anyone notice Poirot's 20-page acid trip in the middle of the book, out of nowhere? Oliver has finally given up on apples, but apples are the center of the first half of the book. Poirot symbolically takes a bite, wonders into a quarry/Garden of Eden and can't stop his fixation on the most beautiful man he has ever seen. I saw it as a 20-page acid-trip as well as a seque
