2) Your reviews should be guided by your opinion of the book. You don't have to summarize the content; make it clear that you read the book by what you say about it, in your voice, with some references. Your review, your writing.
3) Within the first few sentences, state the title and author of the book.
4) Rely solely on your own words, not book jackets or published summaries.
5) Give enough detail to pull us in and make it clear you read the book, but avoid MAJOR spoilers.
6) Please aim for grammatical correctness. No need to write formally, but don't write as if you're texting.
7) Need to know what to focus on? Try discussing your favorite character, comparing the book to another one we all might know, or discussing the level of social or political commentary the book gives you insight into--especially if you're reading any kind of sci-fi or fantasy.
