Hey Natalie! I've actually had this question several times now, so you're not alone in your wondering. The answer-- at least for me-- is that Babel's first expedition landed on a relatively remote continent and was able to mine a good deal of Nyxia before it ever encountered Adamites. Naturally, Babel hasn't exactly told their contestants everything about those early encounters either. Emmett and company saw the footage of Adamites decimating the first group, but I'd encourage readers to remember that Babel's controlled all the information flow on that timeline and what events actually have taken place. Of course, book two and three will continue to illuminate the full story.

Hi! Sorry I didn't put in the last message, but I remember I still had two questions I forgot to ask about the nxyia series: 1. I was curious why there wasn't an epilogue at the end of Nyxia Uprising? 2. Is there a happy ending for Morning and Emmet? Do they live happily ever after?
