A Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ user asked Sophie Hannah:

Were you asked to do a book as Agatha Christie or was that something that you initiated? I loved the Monogram Murders but I'm sure there was criticism by Agatha Christie purists.

Sophie Hannah I would never have dreamed of initiating it! The Christie family and business were starting to think about doing a continuation novel, and my agent mentioned that I was a huge fan, and so a meeting was arranged. We all got on brilliantly and decided to go ahead. Re purists - some have loved my Poirot books and others have not - but the reception has been far more positive than negative. Lots of people are just delighted to have more Poirot to read!
