What inspired you to write 'Along For The Ride'?

Sarah Dessen I had just had my daughter and was spending a lot of time up in the middle of the night. I'd look out my window and see lights on in the neighborhood, or cars driving by, and wonder WHAT in the world people were doing at that hour. Obviously the challenges of having a new baby were on my mind as well. That's where most of the books come from, a couple of ideas or things that happened, and then the fun comes in making up the rest.
