I read a Jan Karon interview yesterday. She hints that in her next writing, she'll pick up on the next generation of Mitford characters, Dooley, Lace, Sammy, etc. Hurray!

I sincerely hope it won't be the last book -- i personally want more about Father Tim's "non-retirement", Cynthia's eyes, Dooley & Lacy, AND Sammy, etc. etc. etc.

There was clearly a hand-off to Dooley at the end of this book, but there can't be a Dooley book with the appearance of Father Tim, Cynthia and a few of the other Mitford regulars.

It is my guess that the answer is yes. I base this answer on the final page of Somewhere Safe... From the same page, I also would not be surprised to see a book (or series) about the next generation.
