Jennifer asked Jennifer Moorman:

In your novel, The Baker's Man, a small-town baker creates a man out of dough, and her life turns upside down. How did you come up with this idea?

Jennifer Moorman I had just finished rereading Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, and I thought about how drastically a life could change, for better or worse, by creating a man. I’m a self-taught baker, so adding a magical twist, I wondered what would happen if a baker made a man out of dough, and the recipe for The Baker’s Man came to life.
