I have written to you previously about being grateful for your attention to the science in your Infected series. I have just assigned all three books as extra credit for my college class. I am also teaching two sections of Environmental Science and would love to use another of your books for extra credit there, but am having a hard time of it. Do you have any suggestions?

My apologies, I thought I answered this right away but see it didn't go through. I'm delighted you're assigning the INFECTED Trilogy for extra credit! How fantastic.
I might suggest you look into my novel ANCESTOR as a possible title for your Environmental Science classes. Very hypothetical, but a good bit of real-world fact in there and explores the disruption of a closed system, as well as the massive shortage of donor organs in the world today.

I'm really looking forward to your new novel, Scott! My question is, what made you choose to go with young adult fiction this time around? I admit that it's going to be interesting to see you go that direction after your very adult audience books. Was it a challenge to write in this genre?
