Hi! On Twitter you said at one point that quarantine was making AWTWB like strange? Or weird? I can’t remember. But it made me laugh! Anyways I was wondering if it was a joke or not- do you think Covid influenced your writing in any way? If so, how? Very interesting to me!

I do. I think it made me braver. I was all alone with my thoughts and the story, and less worried than usual about how readers might respond. It made me write more honestly about Simon and Baz and the problems they were having and the way they interact with each other.

Hello! Carry On is one of my favorite books EVER. My friend and I adore the Simon Snow trilogy and while we LOVE all the characters, there's one (besides Baz) that we can't get enough of: Gareth. Ever since we read of his magical belt buckle and how he has to thrust his hips to cast a spell, we were hooked. Would you ever consider giving Gareth his own novella? (With a Snowbaz cameo, maybe?)
