Imogen Scotson asked Laura Thalassa:

Hello! I just finished reading Pestilence. I'm loving the series so far and I've noticed the chapters don't tend to be too long compared to other books, which is something I love, the pacing just feels so good and books with shorter chapters are easier for me to read. I was wondering if the chapter length was something you had thought about or if that was just something that came as you wrote?

Laura Thalassa Oh, I'm so happy you enjoyed Pestilence and the book's pacing. To be perfectly frank with you, I usually add in my chapters during the very last stage of edits for my books, Pestilence included. Usually I add in the chapter breaks where it feels like there is a true or good transition point. It just so happened that a lot of events happened very rapidly in that book, hence the short chapters. :)
