Marc Desellem asked K.V. Wilson:

Hi K.V. Wilson. Thank you for reading Van Man! Yes, I realize the first half of the book is pretty depressing. I drag the reader through some Serious Mud before I give them a break. But I want the reader to really HATE the bad guys, (Before they get what they deserve) haha. This is also so that the reader questions the social construct that each villain represents. So, which of yours should I read first?

K.V. Wilson Hi Marc, of course! I enjoyed how you worked humour into it so it wasn't too dark. And I really did hate the bad guys, haha.
That's kind of you to ask! I know we write in completely different genres, so I don't expect you to read/finish reading if it's not your thing (if you do, an honest review would be appreciated, even if it's DNF). Spiritborne is the first of an urban fantasy trilogy. Alternatively, The Contraption is a steampunk short story that may be a bit more to your liking. Thanks!
