This is an excellent book club book. Lots of issues for good discussions.
Bonnie
Definitely. Stevenson has compelling stories to tell, but what is really notable is his compassion and humanity. It's hard to believe what goes on and every American should be aware of the travesties of injustice. In particular, the way some children are just thrown away is horrible.
Linda Robertson
I agree with Angie...this would be FANTASTIC for a book club.
John Greenwald
This is a hugely important book. I hope that every book club in America reads it. The conversation it will provoke is much needed.
Aubrey Byron
We read it for book club. There's so much to talk about. I can't recommend it enough.
Barbara Vortman
Our book group read it and had a good discussion. We even talked about how we can make an impact. We came up with great grassroots ideas and are planning a volunteer activity at our local daytime homeless shelter.

Just Mercy was my choice for our book club to read in May. It is an eye-opening book; one that you simply can't keep to yourself, but feel the urge to discuss with others. I strongly recommend it for book clubs that enjoy tackling current social issues.
Gary Crossey
Completely - such a powerful book.
Cynthia Cunha
Yes very good book for discussions and thought
Nicki
Absolutely! There is sooooo much to talk about and discuss.
Carol Washburn
This is the perfect book for a book club. There are so many issues drawn out for discussion, and it will make readers re-examine some of their own ideas or preconceptions.
Josephine Briggs
MY book club is reading this book. This is such a good book to discuss. Mr Stevenson did a good job, tells it how it is. The reason I read the book, which I had never heard about, is a book club read. More people need to read this particular book. Like his comments on "To Kill A Mockingbird."
Mary
Absolutely. Lots of opportunities to discuss.
