(if a book about war and death and eating disorders and all horrible things can be said to be a hoot. for my purposes i say yes) i liked the character's voice; it was just the right combination of faux-sophistication and vulnerability. and all the survival stuff was great, it reminds me of my all-time favorite children's book which i may write a review for later. and now i am really looking forward to my class!! meet me at the mall!

just when i think that the market of books that are hilarious-in-their-bad-taste has been supersaturated, they make one more. one more book to pull me right out of maturity and back into my more comfortable 14-year-old sense of humor. seriously. pictures of furries. doing it. chicken and fox, cat and dog...

i'm not one to judge what people get up to in their bedrooms, but it's a sexual proclivity to which i just cannot relate. and yet i feel perfectly comfortable laughing like mad over these furry furry lovers. thank you, publishing industry!

i enjoyed this book, but im wondering what greg must think of me to have recommended it. you know how when patrick mccabe is writing truly sick shit ai enjoyed this book, but im wondering what greg must think of me to have recommended it. you know how when patrick mccabe is writing truly sick shit and you enjoy it but you're like, man - why am i laughing at this?? its like that. but told in this tight prose that still manages to leave so much implicit. i liked it but it's definitely not for everyone....more
