I had a hard time connecting with their love story. I just didn't feel it. He went from virgin to experienced very quickly. I'm guessing the author had him as a virgin to show that no one would want to be with him since he's an outcast. But that storyline felt off to me.

Both of them like each other but they don't let the other know for fear of ruining their friendship. Since we had dual POV we got to be in both characters' heads. I found Bree to be annoying with her constant self-doubt. But besides that I found this to be a fun book.

Years ago there was a book that I enjoyed but when I started seeing reviews I saw people commenting that the author's use of a certain nickname -little one- bugged them. It didn't bother me but now I know how they feel. The use of b*tch throughout the story started to get on my nerves.
Ky is second in command in the motorcycle club and Lilah is from a cult.
The cult had Lilah believing she was created by her mother sleeping with the devil. They had her all twisted up by believing she was evil and that her looks were tempting to men. And because of that, she needed to be punished.
Now that she has escaped the cult and is recovering at the motorcycle club her life is messy because the outside world is confusing for her. Ky is put in charge of making sure she is safe. Even though he isn't supposed to be putting the moves on her these two ended up bonding together.

The Happy Ever After Playlist got me from the opening scene. The reason for that is I had a somewhat similar thing happen to me the prior day with a dog. Sloan is driving down the road when a dog darts out in front of her car. She stops and the dog ends up jumping through her sunroof into her car. A police officer shows up and writes her a ticket because she's impeding traffic by stopping in the middle of the road. My incident isn't as exciting as Sloans but I did have a dog dart out in front of my car causing me to slam on my brakes.
The dog, Tucker, stole my heart and was how Sloan and Jason got together. Jason is the owner of Tucker but he's in Australia on a business trip. The dogsitter failed and that's how Tucker ended up running in the road.
I just love the dog aspect of this book. As the book goes along the dog isn't really the central focus for the couple because they don't have to have him as their common ground.
The first part of the book was fun and flirty as Sloan and Jason start dating. The second part of the book was more drama-filled as they try to figure out how to deal with groupies and life on the road.

Azere had figured her one-night stand would stay that way and never follow her into everyday life. But instead, Azere's life gets even messier when Rafael is the new hire at her work.
I like how the author gave us a glimpse into the complexities of interracial dating and what it means to families. Azere's mom wasn't happy when her daughter was involved with this non-Nigerian man.

I read Slammed 9.5 years ago and was NOT a fan of Will Cooper. I picked this book up after reading Slammed and put it down quickly when I realized it was going to be a lot of Will Cooper in it.
It's taken me almost a decade but I've decided to finish this series so I can have all of CoHo books read.
YEARS AGO CoHo said something to this effect - you can like a singer, you can like their album but that doesn't mean you're going to like all their songs and that's okay. You're still a fan even if you don't fangirl over everything that artist has done. That has stuck with me all these years later.
