2.5 stars - rounding up because I love the series - but this story kind of sucks!

It was weird. Strange. Did not like the (view spoiler) story line. At all! Just did not get the relationship. He likes her for years and screws everything that walks and thinks she is gay even though everyone knows that is not true. Is Paul stupid, or...stupid? Between the ex wife, the whoring, the pushing away, all of Friday's f'edupedness, and the TATTOO - GTFO! No, just no.

I liked this series and think the stories are strong, but this was not what I hoped to end with. After all he did for his brothers, I thought he deserved someone extraordinary. He did not got it. It just got weird.

CC I just updated this review so it is not a recent read - thank goodness! I was checking out something but it was too angsty so I am still thinking. I have not finished Dark Guardian yet. I have not had tons of time and it is just not holding my attention. But it is good. I will try to push through that and then decide whether to jump into Hold On or something else.

CC I really want to read non PNR but they all have so many triggers it is hard to find one that works!

Cyndi No way will I read this! Great review!

CC Sorry - that is what I meant. The PNR do NOT have the triggers, but I really wanted to read something contemporary but they are LOADED with triggers or too sugary sweet.

No, but you would like the book before Maybe Matt's Miracle.

CC I have about 6000 books on the TBR and I own half of them - I SHOULD be able to find something!!! I need to limit myself on these series though. I get obsessed and then unhappy after reading 2 or 3 of them. I want to try the series you just read but I really dislike the dead spouse thing (unless you know they were not "the one") and I think the first one you read (Wrath maybe) had that. Of course I want to read books I do not yet own! I wonder if I can leave these books to someone in my Will! Aside from a disgustingly huge yarn collection for all the projects that will never happen, it may be the only thing worth anything after spending all of my money on ebooks!

CC ok - that is recycling to the EXTREME! If you ever take the hoppy back up again I can send you cases of yarn to replenish!

Cyndi Matt's book is safe and no OW drama?

There is a tiny bit of OW and OM drama but nothing bad. He has been celibate for 2 years and his ex (biggest bitch ever) is getting married. He takes heroine to wedding but fails to mention it is his ex's wedding. A bit of drama ensues but he is totally in love with heroine and is the BEST guy ever so I forgave him his stupid moment as did she. Heroine has a BF when they meet (biggest asshole ever) but he is dumped day 1. Later he says something Matt did not like and got decked for it!

This story is beautiful. About making a family in a totally unexpected way. (She inherits her half sister's kids and Matt is infertile from chemo for his cancer that is in remission). It is low angst, funny and sweet.

Lol. I think my husband would have a heart attack. My knitti..."

I am a total consumer. Not a recycler at all. But I admire it in others! My husband thought my knitting was cool until he figure out it was much more expensive for me to make a sweater than buy one!
