Tammy I still need to read this one!

Beth F 100% agreed, Angels & Demons was the superior story...it's too bad it wound up playing second fiddle to The DaVinci Code.

Kandice I agree! It was much better, and I never understood why they chose to make Davinci Code a movie first. They certainly weren't worrying about offending people! Let's see the Pope vs. Jesus Christ. I know that sounds harsh, but I never understood the brouhaha! It's a novel! (fiction)

Jennifer I heard that alot at the book store when I worked there too. I would hear customers all the time saying "Oh if you liked The DaVinci Code you have to read Angels & Demons! You will love it!" So finally I had to see for myself. Yup. Angels & Demons was a notch up on the good book scale from DaVinci Code.

I know what you mean Kandice. Sometimes I feel like people need to let a book just be - I mean it's FICTION for pete's sake. It's not like the guy was saying "Oh no - This really happened." I know their was an uproar about the killer albino priest guy too. Of course I don't get banning books either. If you don't want to read a book - then don't read it. But don't tell me that I shouldn't read it because it was offensive to you. Ya know? I just get kinda pissed off when people I have never met try and tell me what I can and can't do.

OK. Stepping off my podium now. ;)

Kathy I'll jump on the bandwagon, too. Angels and Demons was much better.

Jennifer It's going to be in theaters later this year! I read it at work today. I forget which month it comes out - I will have to IMDB it to see who is starring this time. Yay!

Tammy Isn't IMDB one of the best sites? When I'm goofing off instead of being responsible, I like to look up movie quotes and useless little facts.

J, always feel free to step up on your podium. I couldn't agree more. Being a former preacher's kid, I wasn't surprised when a big deal was made over the DaVinci Code. It was a popular sermon topic in a majority of churches - just like the Harry Potter series. (I think the original rumors of witchcraft and evilness in Harry Potter started on The Onion as a joke.) I swear most people will look for reasons to be negative, even if it defies logic! Fiction people - it is only fiction. Lighten up!

Jennifer Thanks for the words of encouragement Tammy. :) I kind of rant sometimes fo it's nice to know I am not loosing my friends like crazy when I go on a rant.

IMDB rocks. It's just awesome - I don't know what we did before we had it!

Julie (jjmachshev) Oh hell no, Jennifer. Rants are great!! and much more entertaining...
;P

Collette I keep hearing this too. My mom loaned me Angels and Demons so I'll have to bump it up!
lol I agree with JJ on rants. Very fun!

Beth F re: rants...

I agree too!

Jennifer The new movie comes out in May and it does star Tom Hanks and is directed by Ron Howard.

Julie (jjmachshev) Oh...and put me on the list of those who liked A&D better than the 'Code'.

Pat A&D was so much better than TDC. In fact that was why I read TDC. I enjoyed the story about the Illuminati. The gore was a bit much but the action was intense. TDC was such a letdown although it had its potential. The TDC wrap up was too neat and the last chapter crawled.

Kishore Daswani I completely agree with you!

Dion Harper For Angels at war with the dark elements of humanity, I recommend A SECRET CAVALRY. Action & suspence with a lot of heart.
