Ruby Fever (Hidden Legacy, #6)

3.5/5
I have MANY thoughts about this one.
This might be an unpopular opinion but I was never entirely swept away by the Alessandro & Catalina pairing. I had some hope after the 2nd book, but here we reverted back to me feeling like Alessandro was an afterthought. With the OG Nevada & Connor trilogy, I thought the two were on equal footing, but not here. In this installment, it got to the point where I sometimes forgot Alessandro was even around. This brings me to my main disappointment: the romance is lackluster for me.
Ruby Fever is also sooo much plot and action (I would argue that there were too many threads), and I understand why because the authors are trying to tie the loose ends, but I found myself completely zoning out at times. I think this is where better balance between the romance and the plot would have helped.
What I did love was the secondary cast. Victoria, Linus, Arabella (MY QUEEN, MY BABY), Cornelius, and Matilda were scene-stealers. I love the dynamic between all these characters and when they are together, there's no way not to crack up.
Anyways, that being said, I desperately hope we see an Arabella-centered series. My girl deserves it!
