Has anyone been watching Copper? It's kind of a tough show, rather violent, with some repellent human beings on there.

I like Kevin Corcoran who they call Copper. I would definitely classify him as a dangerous hero. I also like his friend Freeman (who is a doctor/medical examiner).

What do you guys think of this show?

I love Copper!! Corky's a great character, I would also say he's a dangerous hero.

I like Freeman too. I also like Elizabeth.

I love Copper. Been really enjoying the season so far. I felt so bad for Kevin's friend, Francis, this last episode. I also really like how it is almost CSI in the 1800's really cool concept.

Yeah, that was shocking last week with Francis' fiancee. I covered my eyes!

I've been DVR'ing it but haven't had a chance to watch the eps yet. It looks amazing and I especially love the idea of the period wardrobe & London street scenes. Sometimes it's difficult for me to visualize London while reading Historical Romances so this is kind of exciting for me. I think I'll watch them all tomorrow.

I think they have done a good job of bringing that period alive.

I love watching period tv and movies, for a similar reason, Rachel.

Can't wait to watch Copper and Hell on Wheels tonight. Sunday has become one of the best nights for TV. Looks like Copper is going to be a good episode too from the preview I saw. The rich lady seems to be really into Copper. I wonder how that is going to pan out.

We don't get AMC anymore, so we don't get to watch Hell on Wheels or The Walking Dead. I guess Dish Network didn't want to pay enough for it. :(

I think it's interesting, the whole dynamic between the rich lady and her adopted daughter, and how they both related to Copper.

She does. She has been damaged by her life, and she doesn't know how to love genuinely. I hope things work out for her. I have a bad feeling right now.

I'm very interested in seeing how things pan out between Copper and the rich woman. Also between the rich woman and Annie.

I'm also looking to find out more about the prostitute who loves Copper-I can't think of her name...Eva, maybe?

It's sad really. Since she hasn't really experienced love she doesn't know how to react to it when someone gives it to her.

Oh and the cousin, uncle, or whatever he is to freeman. That dude is going to cause trouble. I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. I caught myself yelling at the TV at freeman to not introduce him to Morehouse.

It's going to be some great TV when it does.

Copper is one of those shows where something crazy happens every week.

Yup, it really is a show after my own heart. It is a period drama, has lots of action and adventure, a crime drama, and some good looking DH. Some really quality writing as well. What is not to love.

Period dramas with Dangerous Heroes are my favorite too :)

Thank goodness for BBC and PBS. Otherwise we would be stuck with reality TV most of the time. Have you all seen Downton Abbey? That is also one of my favorites. Although there really isn't any DHs in it. Unless you count Branson because he is a radical.

I love period stuff all around. I agree with you about PBS and BBC.

I have also gotten into Masterpiece Theater Mystery lately. I like Inspector Lewis. Especially like Sergeant Hathaway. :)

OMG Tammy! If you like period dramas you will LOVE Downton Abbey. They have it on Netflix and Amazon. The third season starts in January. I can't wait.

I have Netflix, I'll have to check it out!! Does the show normally air on BBC?

Downton Abbey is good. I haven't watched all of them yet.

I'm watching episode 1 now and I didn't realize this was taking place in NYC. For some reason I thought it was supposed to be London. Duh!

I was a bit stumped at it being a BBC America show at first.

I'm also really surprised at the sexual content and nudity. Not that I'm complaining, definitely don't mind it, but I'm surprised because for some reason I thought BBC was similar to our network television channels like TNT or AMC.

It's definitely more edgy than typical for BBC (except Torchwood). I was more confused since it's essentially an American show.

I guess I assume that BBC-produced shows would be British, but I think they are branching out. I noticed that they show Star Trek: The Last Generation on there, and it threw me initially.

No, not at all! I just felt silly as I was typing my comment - actually I felt like I sounded very Edith Bunker-esque from All In The Family. Haha!

I just finished watching episode 2 and yowzer, love this show. Kevin Corcoran is a beautiful, delicious man. I love that the lines are blurred when it comes to his actions. (view spoiler)[ I was quite shocked when he killed the woman! Of course she deserved it but wow, that was surprising.

I'm only up to episode 2 so I'm trying to stay away from spoilers so I'm kind of avoiding the comments above and maybe you guys have discussed this but I wonder if Kevin's partner knows more about what happened to Kevin's wife and daughter. I wonder if she and he were having some sort of affair. I found the conversation between he and Kevin about confession relaxing a man interesting. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I thought Eva was going to pull her hair and threaten her but when she sliced Molly's throat I was like O.O. Everyone on this show has some sort of agenda! The only ones who provide some reprieve are Freeman and his wife and maybe even Corcoran because while he is shady, he is still somewhat noble. Well, only somewhat because he did sleep with Molly knowing that Francis was in love with her. And maybe Francis who doesn't seem like a bad guy but I still wonder if he knows more about Ellen than he's saying. I thought what he did at Swartz was very sweet though but I can't help be suspicious.

You know, my only complaint about this show is that sometimes the jumps between episodes are too abrupt. There was one time I thought I had actually missed an epie - it was after Molly died and Francis was suddenly seeing Grendel's sister. I was like, wait what?

What do you think of Elizabeth? Do you think she's on the up-and-up? She's done some nice things but I'm suspicious of everyone on this show now. I dno't like her for Corcoran though. I wish they would introduce a new woman for him. (hide spoiler)]

I didn't realize that the actress who plays Eva is the same actress from Run Lola Run and the Bourne Identity. She looked familiar and last night it finally clicked!

I like Elizabeth, but I don't see her and Corky as a couple. I'd like to see a new love interest for Corky as well, but after eliminating one of the current ones. Yeah, that is Franke Potente. I like her as an actress, but she's crazy on this show.

Tammy, I'm with you 100%. I'm on the fence as to who I want eliminated because I do find the others interesting. I think I find Eva the most interesting now because she's such a loose canon. I'm intrigued to see what she'll do next.

I also wonder if Corky will ever find out that it was Eva who killed Molly. I mean, the guys surely cannot believe she killed herself. That whole thing has to have some kind of consequences. That's why I find it so bizarre that Francis was able to move on so quickly.

Annie makes me sad. That scene with the doll, offering her body for an egg...she never was able to be a little girl. Placing her in Elizabeth's care isn't helping because she's out of her element (hide spoiler)]
