Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Also City Infernal (City Infernal, #1) by Edward Lee and A View from the Lake by Greg F. Gifune

message 3: by William (new)

William (wmcc) The Lee one looks good.I still haven't read him yet despite having a few of his books on my TBR pile.I think the Infernal series is considered to be amongst his best so it's probably a good place to start.

I have bumped Edge of Dark Water andFevre Dream to the top of my huge falling over TBR pile.

Edge of dark water is on my list as well, I have almost suggested it a few times for the group read. Let me know when you want to read it and I will join in, same thing with Edward Lee books.

message 5: by William (new)

William (wmcc) Will do.I was thinking the end of the month for the Lansdale one, does that suit you?

message 6: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Sure does. I already have it, just haven't gotten around to it yet so I will be ready when you are.

message 7: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I found at least one other person to join us in edge of dark water over at horror aficionados. Would you mind discussing in a thread over there so we can possibly get more people to join us? If that's ok I will give you a link to a thread that the moderator over there made for the book.

message 8: by William (new)

William (wmcc) Sounds good to me.The more the merrier.Does Thurs 1st nov suit.

message 9: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Sounds good. Do you want to discuss every 25% like we do group reads just without a schedule or just read the entire thing and then discuss? I will link the thread at horror aficionados and ask there also for anyone else that wants to join. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

Urban Gothic by Brian Keene

message 11: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Anyone interested in boys life? Gonna start it soon.

message 12: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I have already read it but I will join the conversation when you finish.

message 13: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Well Addy, it don't look like urban Gothic is going to win, I voted on it but changed it when I was the only one. No point wasting my vote on something that isn't even close to winning, I was suprised that you didn't vote for it after suggesting it. Let me know when you are ready to start and I will make a buddy read thread.

message 14: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments I decided to vote for neverland instead, but changed it when I saw I was the only one who voted on it. I kinda figured no one wud vote for urban gothic. I already started it, but im on like pg 12. Go ahead and add a thread. Its pretty good so far.

message 15: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I'm only a couple pages into Trinity, I will put it aside and read urban Gothic with you. Do you want to just read the whole thing then discus or do like we do with group reads and discuss every 25% or 50%? If you want to do cheachpoint discussions how many days do you want to set for each section?

message 16: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Would u want to do like 50 pages a day? How many pages is usually 25%? My nook doesnt do %.

message 17: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
How many pages total? I don't get a page count in the kindle but we can figure it out.

message 18: by Justin (last edited Nov 26, 2012 10:55AM) (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ says 301 pages so 50 pages a day sounds fine to me. That would be about 33% every other day for me and 100 pages every other day for you. Sound good?

message 19: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Sure does

message 20: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Excellent, when I get a second I will post that schedule in the thread I started for anyone else wanting to join. I am about 15% in right now.

Here is a link to my "to read" shelf. http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/... there are about 430 books that I would gladly do a buddy read on after I finish with urban gothic. Top of the list is any wrath James white or Edward Lee that's in that list or a couple from the recent vote for December's group read that didn't win House of Blood A Hacked-Up Holiday Massacre Dead Sea Predatory Instinct

message 22: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Dead sea is on my TBR list as well.

message 23: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I think William suggested that one for the group read, if he wants to get in on it we will have 3 people possibly more.

message 24: by William (new)

William (wmcc) Yeah you can count me in for Dead Sea.

message 25: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
Cool, anytime after urban Gothic works for me.

message 26: by William (new)

William (wmcc) I have Fevre Dream to finish, but i should be ready anytime after that.

message 27: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Ill read it too. After Urban Gothic.

Addy | 1944 comments Shud I read cellar first?

message 37: by Cate (new)

Cate | 107 comments Yeah, I didn't even realize Beast House was a sequel, so I'd have to read The Cellar first

message 38: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Well, do u wanna read cellar then? I think id be up for it.

message 39: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod

I will add it to the groups currently reading books in the buddy read folder as soon as you start a thread for it. I will follow along and make some spoiler free comments since I have already read it, and then jump in for the full discussion with you at the end.
