The moderators keep a close eye on all challenges posted in the Romance Readers Reading Challenges Group. No new challenge should be posted without moderator review and permission. The only exception to this is when members post their own challenges in the Create-Your-Own Reading Challenge in the Yearly Challenge folder. Please note, buddy reads are not considered challenges and you are welcome to post these threads whenever you choose.
We encourage members to get involved in the creation and hosting of challenges. If this element of the group interests you, please watch for activity in this folder or contact one of the moderators. Suggestions for Future Categories/Challenges to make challenge suggestions. If you wish to receive more immediate feedback on an idea, please PM (message) any of the moderators.
One element that we insist upon is that any challenge posted is either an original idea (completely devised by the host/creator) OR the proposed challenge has been cleared for use by the original creator, that is, permission has been sought and granted.
Due to some instances where challenges have been posted (after moderator approval) by a very new member but then left relatively unsupported, we have introduced a new rule for the posting and hosting of challenges. The host must have been an active member of the group for at least three (3) months or have posted at least 50 comments in group threads - whichever milestone comes first. We LOVE new members, but we also LOVE our challenges, and we want everyone else who participates in a challenge to have the support and feedback that they need. We hope that this will help provide the ongoing support :)
Please ensure that you follow these simple rules/guidelines. We need to ensure that we don't have a surfeit (or dearth) of challenges appearing at any time, hence the need to discuss ideas for the group with the moderators at all times.
Thank you from all of us :)
