June 2013 Monthly Challenge

Levels
Easy~ 1-3 books
Medium~ 4-7 books
Hard~ 10 books

You can create your lists now but no reading until June 1

1. June is the sixth month of the year, so read a book that is sixth in a series

2. June’s birthstones are Pearl, Moonstone and Alexandrite. Read a book with a white, green or purple cover OR a book with any kind of jewelry on the cover

3. In the Northern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological summer is 1 June. In the Southern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological winter is 1 June. Read a book that takes place either in summer or winter or a book in which these two seasons pass during the it.

4. June’s flower is the Rose, which comes in many colors and has many meanings. Read a Romance book (red rose), a mystery where the character is innocent (white rose) or a book with/about friendship (yellow rose)

5. June is the month when many weddings take place. Read a book that has a wedding in it

6. June is Gay Pride month, so read a GBTL book or a book with a GBTL character

7. June is a food month. It is “Candy month, Dairy month, Fresh Fruit and Veggie� month and the first week in June is “Fishing� week. Read a book with candy, any kind of dairy, fruits, vegetables or fish on the cover. If you really can’t find a book with ANY of the items on the cover than you can read a book with any kind of food on the cover

8. June 15th is “Smile Power Day�. Read a book that makes you smile

9. June 16th is “Father’s Day�. Read a book where the Main Character is a father or a book your father loves to read

10. June 21 is “Finally Summer� day and the 24th is “Swim a Lap� day. Read a book with any kind of water on the cover (it can go from a beach scene to a puddle of water to a leaky hose� up to you)
