I read that a couple of months ago and enjoyed it. It reminded me of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer (although the GL&PPPS was better, in my opinion!)

Exactly what I was thinking when I posted! And I agree Shaffer was better, but it has been years since I first read 84, Charing Cross Road.
Okay, Michael I am going to list the same challenge...and can this be a dual challenge, cause I am inclined to read a lot of non fiction between fiction but UMMMMM, how do I do that? LOLSomeone lead me to where I need to go...and and I'll try to read 26 non-fiction books and and, oh, read more than Michael LOL
And just to give you the heads up Michael, I have already finished two this far :D

Yaaaay - congratulations :)My personal view is never go back. There are only a handful of books I reread and those are for the most part childhood favourites.
There are so many fabulous books out there that I haven't read - I want to get to them while I still can.
My vote for you would be to go for translations
