All the best with your challenge Michael :-)

Oh, I remember that as being a really sweet story. Good luck with the challenge.

1. 84, Charing Cross Road (Currently Reading)"
I read that a couple of months ago and enjoyed it. It reminded me of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer (although the GL&PPPS was better, in my opinion!)

Exactly what I was thinking when I posted! And I agree Shaffer was better, but it has been years since I first read 84, Charing Cross Road.

Someone lead me to where I need to go...and and I'll try to read 26 non-fiction books and and, oh, read more than Michael LOL

My personal view is never go back. There are only a handful of books I reread and those are for the most part childhood favourites.
There are so many fabulous books out there that I haven't read - I want to get to them while I still can.
My vote for you would be to go for translations

I will compile a top 5 at the end of the year

Fabulous Michael, congratulations!
Do both12 re-reads and 12 translations :)

:D don't forget to include lots of Russian literature."
Congratulations Michael, I'll look forward to seeing your top 5...plus your choice of translations for next year :)

:D don't forget to include lots of Russian literature."
Maybe all 12 will be Russian :P
