I am so sorry for the delay ladies. Jenne gave us the green light to move ahead. Thank you so much Jenne!

If you have seen reality show "The Bachelor" you can imagine what the book is about.
I don't care for this show or the people in it. I didn't care for this story either. It was extremely juvenile, full of clichés, boring and not very well written. Maybe I'm too old for this teen girls stuff but the main character America was just one of those TSTL heroines. Her inability to choose between Prince and her poor boyfriend but instead keep them both waiting felt very immature and artificial or have I said boring yet? I guess I did. Boring, boring, boring.
Awe, sorry you didn't like The Selection! America did get on my nerves, but I liked Maxon and I wanted to find out more about the world they were living in. Hope you get one you like next week!

Review: Stacey is a reporter acting as a detective to help her cousin find out who is trying to set her up as an arsonist and did I mention she was also raised by witches?
It kinda reminds me of the Stephanie Plum series only with a taste of paranormal tossed in. It was funny, witty, and just a quick and cozy read!

Seraphina (Seraphina #1) by Rachel Hartman
Date Finished: 02/20/14

Review: There has been peace between dragons and humans for years now, but with the discovery of Prince Rufus's decapitated corpse, old feelings of animosity are being stirred up in the townsfolk. Who else would kill a man by biting off his head but a dragon? Seraphina, court musician, and Prince Lucian team up to discover the truth about a possible threat to the peace while Seraphina discovers truths about her past, her family, and herself.
I was initially intrigued by this book, then bored a bit in the middle, but the ending re-engaged me. It was also interesting reading about the lives of dragons. I was doubtful before, but the ending has left me wanting to continue reading the other books in this series.

And good job getting Free Pass IF we should need it ...
I'm starting my book today and will be done by Friday for sure. Work is taking too much of my reading time right now :(

Late finish for me this time. I don't know why this book took so long to read! Posting review next.

Review: This book continues to follow Bean's life after Battle School and the war with the buggers. Now war is brewing between China and almost everyone else. Achilles is still alive, so will Bean ever be safe? I can't say much without spoilers, so I'll just say that this just continues telling the story of Peter's, Petra's, and Bean's lives after the Formic Wars. I still like Bean and enjoy reading about him, but the parts of the book about the military stratagems were a tad bit boring for me. Now I'm wondering if the final book, Shadow of the Giant, will hold my interest. At any rate, I'm glad I finally finished this book, and I liked how it ended.

Now it's official after reading book #2 - I love Larissa Ione's Demonica series. Fast pace action, hot romance and good original world building and characters.
This time it's a long lost brother of Shade's, Writhe's and E's looking for his revenge and in the process of fighting him Shade gets accidentally mated with werewolf Runa.

Alternate is Book Title that starts with a "C".
3rd in series or Stand alone.
I will be reading either:
Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3),
or
Aunt Dimity's Good Deed (An Aunt Dimity Mystery, #3).

Oh, wow! This is one of the best books by Mr. Sparks for sure. Not that I'm a fan. He's books are usually hit or miss for me but this one really hit me. I could not put it down.
I have seen the movie and was looking forward a nice cozy read but the book was so much more intense and creepy that my heart was literally breaking for Katie, Alex and his family. In this case, I must say, the book was better than the movie, although I loved them both.
Nicholas Sparks sure writes crazy characters well and we all know he is really good with emotions and tear-jerking. Hasn't work on me before but this time my eyes were wet when finishing the book. The story felt so real and the scary thing is - there are many Kevins in this world for real and domestic violence is an uncomfortable subject but unfortunately more common than we think.

LOL @ Joanne loved your description of the characters "punk" and "priss"
Awesome reviews ladies!

Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3) By Tahereh Mafi
Date Finished: 03/03/14

Review: In this final book of the Shatter Me trilogy, Juliette finally feels strong enough (and angry enough) to lead the fight against The Reestablishment. And as she learns more truths about Warner, she starts to see him in a different light, and her feelings toward him change. Does she still love Adam, or is she falling in love with Warner? And now that Omega Point is no more, will she be able to take on The Reestablishment herself?
I liked the way all these questions were resolved in this book. Great ending to the trilogy. It also touched on a question that I have pondered: If two people love each other, but then one person grows and changes while the other doesn't, should they feel obligated to stay together, or can they go their separate ways since the relationship is bound to be different now? That was an interesting development in the love triangle that I hadn't seen before. Now I can check this series off my list!

Oh,gush, thats horrible, Jennifer. Ain't the things got twisted - we have almost spring here in Scandinavia. Not that I'm complaining about it , but still ...
So we lost the chance for free roll this week? Can we try it again next week or was it one time only thing?
