Buddy Read

I plan to start it this weekend.

I've been dying to read it.
There has been a lot of comments and buzz about in my GR circles in my friends update feed.
How about November?

Whatever the reason, GF getting away from Avon publishing has freed her to write the HR that I KNOW she can write without them imposing their "formula."

So good to hear! I can't wait to get on that :D

Ugh, damn it Amazon. It's showing $0.92 for me, but I did get it for free when you posted it previously. :D

I almost feel bad when I post on GR that there is a sale or freebee knowing that there are folks from outside US who would be interested.

Loved it! Take as long as you need :D

I really liked it."
I'm going to check my library for this one.

Is this the place where i ask people whether they'd want to read a particular Historical Romance book with me?

I'm itching to read Duke of Sin by Elizabeth Hoyt and at the same time would think it would be awesome to have some buddies to read it with. So.....anyone wants to buddy read
Duke of Sin
with me?

Hi!
No problem! I can wait.
I'll read something else in the meantime and once everyone's ready, we can start.

Yup, saw it, i'm in.
Have a safe trip! :-)

I finished reading Book#5 today and would like to read the previous books too. I will check if I can get those books and let you know.

Great. Let me know when you want to start.

Hi Lauren! I found books #1,2 &3 in my library but not book#4. I need time to finish 1&2. But if you would like to re read those, you can create a BR thread and I will be happy to join you.

Looking forward to it."
Started reading book #1 today. I will let you know when I finish reading books #1 & 2
Is anyone interested in reading Lillian Marek with me? I picked up her series mostly because of the different setting locales but they sound good, and seemed like they would be a good BR. The first is Lady Elinor's Wicked Adventures.

Yeah, this first book looks interesting. I am just finishing The Adventurer's Quartet and need a new book set in an exotic locale, but I could not start reading for another week or so.

I'm thinking next Wednesday. I'll pick up a copy before then.

I have already read The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband. Is the Jo Beverly book part of a series? I have only very recently listened to a couple of her Mallorem books, so she is very new to me. It does not appear that this one is getting very good reviews, though.

Yes! I just got the book today and finished one of two books I was reading. Wednesday should be perfect.
I tried to create a new thread for it, and it would not let me. Said I needed a verified email first. Is it specific to this group? I tried looking in my account settings, and it didn't say anything.

Hmmm...I don't think so. Let me try.

You can create a thread without any of that. Just try again.

First off The Day of the Duchess come out on the 27th of June!!! That's 2 weeks from today exactly. And since MacLean is Queen I want to read it in early July if at all possible.
Along the same lines Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake is the only series that I haven't read by MacLean so I'd really like to get to those soon. So a buddy read of the first one would be awesome!!
And I have Duke of My Heart checked out from the library that I picked up on a whim. I know nothing but I'm interested to read my first book by Bowen. It's due in 2 weeks.

I plan to read The Day of the Duchess when it comes out. I didn't like Maclean's most recent novel, but it was her first miss for me. Not sure about this next one. The Duke was seemingly irredeemable in the first book in this series.
Duke of My Heart is in my TBR, and I found that it was available from my library. I now have two weeks also. I would be up for a BR for it.

My plan is to read The Day of The Duchess as soon as it is released. Can you start on 27th?
