Pick a historical romance novel, find a buddy and read the novel together, discuss it along the way.

Post below for some BR suggestions!

Already got a thread set up for Duke of Scandal just to reserve it for October :)

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1635 comments Here at GR a friend of one of my friends wrote a very good review for the novella "One Moonlit Night."

I plan to start it this weekend.

Anyone want to BR The Highwayman (Victorian Rebels #1) by Kerrigan Byrne with me? :)

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1635 comments Kat I want to read that book with you.

I've been dying to read it.

There has been a lot of comments and buzz about in my GR circles in my friends update feed.

How about November?

message 6: by Kat, Baroness (in her own right) (new)

Kat Desi (katdesiwrites) | 480 comments Mod
Yes, me too! November sounds good! I'll remember to put up a thread for it :)

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1635 comments One Moonlit Night by Gaelen Foley (novella) was so good that I hyperventilated and had heart palpitations while I read it.

Whatever the reason, GF getting away from Avon publishing has freed her to write the HR that I KNOW she can write without them imposing their "formula."

How about a new BR?

Earls Just Want to Have Fun (Covent Garden Cubs, #1) by Shana Galen

I believe this is still on sale on Amazon. :)

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1635 comments "Earl's Just Want to Have Fun" is free on Amazon.com, and I did get it. The title attracted me. :)

Ugh, damn it Amazon. It's showing $0.92 for me, but I did get it for free when you posted it previously. :D

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1635 comments I don't see why Amazon doesn't give everyone the same deals on all of their sites.

I almost feel bad when I post on GR that there is a sale or freebee knowing that there are folks from outside US who would be interested.

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1635 comments I still have to complete "The Highwayman."

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1635 comments I read "One Moonlit Night."

I really liked it.

Hi Lauren! I found books #1,2 &3 in my library but not book#4. I need time to finish 1&2. But if you would like to re read those, you can create a BR thread and I will be happy to join you.

Looking forward to it.

Andrea | 635 comments Hey you guys :) Anyone interested in reading Dressed to Kiss with me? It's an anthology set in and around a dressmakers shop, consisting of 4 stories. It's on sale right now for $2.99 (in Germany it's 2.49). I've added it because I love Caroline Linden's books, but I've never read anything by the other three authors.

Is anyone interested in reading Lillian Marek with me? I picked up her series mostly because of the different setting locales but they sound good, and seemed like they would be a good BR. The first is Lady Elinor's Wicked Adventures.

Yeah, this first book looks interesting. I am just finishing The Adventurer's Quartet and need a new book set in an exotic locale, but I could not start reading for another week or so.

I have already read The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband. Is the Jo Beverly book part of a series? I have only very recently listened to a couple of her Mallorem books, so she is very new to me. It does not appear that this one is getting very good reviews, though.

I tried to create a new thread for it, and it would not let me. Said I needed a verified email first. Is it specific to this group? I tried looking in my account settings, and it didn't say anything.

You can create a thread without any of that. Just try again.

message 47: by Giselle (new)

Giselle Bradley (bradleygiselle) | 172 comments Okay! I have a few things I'd love to buddy read soon if any of you are interested.

First off The Day of the Duchess come out on the 27th of June!!! That's 2 weeks from today exactly. And since MacLean is Queen I want to read it in early July if at all possible.

Along the same lines Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake is the only series that I haven't read by MacLean so I'd really like to get to those soon. So a buddy read of the first one would be awesome!!

And I have Duke of My Heart checked out from the library that I picked up on a whim. I know nothing but I'm interested to read my first book by Bowen. It's due in 2 weeks.

I plan to read The Day of the Duchess when it comes out. I didn't like Maclean's most recent novel, but it was her first miss for me. Not sure about this next one. The Duke was seemingly irredeemable in the first book in this series.

Duke of My Heart is in my TBR, and I found that it was available from my library. I now have two weeks also. I would be up for a BR for it.
