Katie | 8 comments Hi all ! I am looking for some books with hot heroes and was hoping you could point me in the right direction ? I've read The Black Dagger Brotherhood and really loved them but looking for less paranormal storylines. I've just read Midnight Man by Lisa Marie Rice and John is right up my alley !! Please can you recommend similar authors with this kind of dangerous hero ? Oh and not too much kinkiness please ! Thank you , Katie xx

Komal --
I keep saying I'm gonna start the Bullet Catcher series, is it really good? Its a case of so many books, so little time for me, but if its really good I can definitely move it up.

People have already mentioned a few of my faves but...

I am currently reading Sweet Seduction Sacrifice series by Nicola Claire that's pretty good. Set in New Zealand.

Suzie | 9 comments Fire and Fangs (Blood and Flames, #1) by Josephine McNabb Fire and Fangs This book has two main characters.. And two hot male leads.. I dont want to say anymore because I'll get carried away and ruin the book.. But you should seriously check this book out!!!

message 22: by namericanwordcat (new)

namericanwordcat | 242 comments I am seeking waiter heroes and teacher heroes. Very hard to find!

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments I'm not a fan of paranormal, but for dark and dangerous you can't go wrong with Anne Stuart's Ice series. Beyond alpha all the way to gamma.

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments Along with Anne Stuart's Ice (contemporary) and Rohan (historical; all but the final one, which lost its edge) series, my favorite dangerous hero is in a romantic suspense novel, Lethal, by Sandra Brown. Another one of hers is Envy. Both of these have uber-hot anti-hero heroes. Not a lot of sex, but the sexual tension is built and built until it's explosive.

Lethal and Envy have the added advantage of being available on audio narrated by the actor Victor Slezak, whose sexy growl of a voice could make me a fan of the phone directory.

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments ... and an old-school favorite by Christina Dodd: "A Well Favored Gentleman." In her historical romances, Dodd writes bad-boy heroes with such charm and wit, I tend to forgive them for behavior I wouldn't tolerate otherwise. The "gentleman" of the title isn't a gentleman. But he's exquisitely sensual.

Totally echo this.
I love Anne Stuart and Sandra Brown's men.
Along with Lethal and Envy, Chill Factor, Ricochet and White Hot are some of my favorites.

I'd also recommend Linda Howard's books: Cry No More, After the Night,Dream Man, Mr. Perfect, Open Season

message 27: by namericanwordcat (new)

namericanwordcat | 242 comments lol I like dangerous betas

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments Lhethal, in a perfect world, Sandra Brown would release an expanded edition of Lethal with a full chapter of make-up sex at the end. Claim!

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments Not a teacher or a waiter, but a professor AND a "dangerous beta": hero in Judith Ivory's Sleeping Beauty.

message 30: by namericanwordcat (new)

namericanwordcat | 242 comments Cool! I love Ivory!

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments Me too. I wish she had written another half dozen novels before she gave it up. There's nobody quite like Judith Ivory.

message 32: by namericanwordcat (new)

namericanwordcat | 242 comments For sure!

And just like that you pegged down Utopia in a few words. There should a sequel to that book. I can't believe she did that to us. :(

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments I know, right?
