Wildeeps is supposed to be excellent.

I'm about 3/4 through and have definitely been enjoying it. (It's taking me a surprisingly long amount of time to read, but that's because Aztec is my primary focus at the moment, and I'm only reading Wildeeps when I go somewhere where it would be inconvenient to bring a 750 page trade paperback, so I read Wildeeps on my phone or Kindle.)

Think I'm going to have to read it.

message 6: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments I need to start reading more things by people whose last names start with different letters.

message 7: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments Finally! A new letter!

message 8: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments And updated with links to all of the reviews.

Dan (TheGreatBeast) Joseph wrote: "I need to start reading more things by people whose last names start with different letters."

That's the big challenge. I swear every fantasy authors last name starts with an S or L... the other problem is starting a series and needing to finish it, for example I'm working my way through Memory, Sorrow and Thorn after reading The Dragonbone Chair as my W.

message 10: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments And I want to read so much more Cherryh ...

message 11: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments Another letter!

message 12: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments There's Z!

message 13: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments OK, I picked up D, at least. Not going to get all 26 at this point, but I should be able to get closer, if I set my mind to it.

message 14: by Angela (new)

Angela | 235 comments You are doing really well Joseph. Not too many letters to go.

message 15: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments Actually, I think I have a plan. Although I need U.

message 16: by James (new)

James Tivendale (youandi) Is that aim of this to do all the letters in a year? If so well, seriously fair play :) x

Angela | 235 comments James wrote: "Is that aim of this to do all the letters in a year? If so well, seriously fair play :) x"

I hope not James. I don't have a chance of finishing this year.

U is tough. Check out Scott's Challenge as he's finished.

message 18: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments Actually, I'm thinking Michael R. Underwood for U. And just to help anyone who needs it: Washington Irving, Seabury Quinn and Xia Jia (for whom I think "Xia" is actually the surname, so it counts for X).

message 19: by Bill (new)

Bill | 337 comments Used Seabury Quinn. Thanks.

message 20: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments And that would be 26 letters! Fun, but I will never, ever do that again ... :)

message 21: by Margret (new)

Margret Hey that's cool! Two of us completed the same day!

message 22: by Bill (new)

Bill | 337 comments Congrats Joe!

Congrats! I felt the same way when I finished and have not changed my stance!

Joseph | 1651 comments Margret wrote: "Hey that's cool! Two of us completed the same day!"

Go us!

(Admittedly, I did a bit of cheating, especially there at the end, what with choosing very short works and, in the case of the Washington Irving, not actually reading the whole book. But still.)

message 25: by Margret (new)

Margret I'll never A-Z again either. It did force me to read things destined to be on my to-read shelf until eternity... but some things should actually stay that way

message 26: by Angela (new)

Angela | 235 comments Congratulations. Well done Joe.

Well done!

This is my fourth go.

message 28: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments I'd be more inclined to repeat if the alphabet didn't include the letter X ...

Helen | 3614 comments Mod
Lol.

message 30: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Landmark (clandmark) | 117 comments Congratulations, Joseph! I did an A-Z challenge this year, too, but I used book titles instead of authors. Even then, a few of the letters were a challenge. Not sure I would do another one, either.
