Kathryn (an80slady6886) I'm at 63% in my 2nd book Was hoping to get 20-30% more read today and since I was at 35% yesterday looks like I was successful. Going to head to bed and maybe get a tiny bit more reading done.

Kathryn- Good luck! Reminder to all- 11:59 PM readathon ends! My time zone is already done- I started my 4th book, An April Shroud, and got about 30 pages in.

I just finished off my second book. Even though I only read two, I feel really good about getting them off my tbr shelf. I've been looking at them so long, and not sure why I never picked them up. I'm still going to start book three, even though there's no way I can read 720 pages in the next hour and a half. haha. At least I'm starting it.

Veronique- How far did you wind up getting overall?

1819 in total. Sounds crazy to me. As I said, I never 'timed' myself before. It does depend on the books however. Some can be gobbled up while others required savouring. My reading for 2016, if it carries on at this rate, is going to be the best I have Ever done (usually averaged 55-80 books per year) and it must be because of being on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, so thanks :0)

Morning After Tally

Finished...
1) Big Magic.
2) Silks.
3) Paying Guests.
4) Brothers in Arms
5) The Viper's Nest
6) The Emperor's Code
7) The Pearl
8) about 25 chapters of Emma

Most were short. All were audio. But I'm quite pleased to be able to say the Readathon helped me catch up to my GR 2016 Reading Goal. I've been trailing since January, so that's a huge improvement.

Nice list! What did you think of Paying Guests? It's on my Everest TBR

message 110: by Clare (new)

Clare (-clare-) | 98 comments I managed 477 pages which is up on my usual 40 pages a day.

I read:

Bloodline by Claudia Gray (finished)
Annihilation
The Communication Room
Station Eleven

All were great reads and I managed to get the ball rolling with reading again. I fell out of it for a month or so, so it's good to be jumping on the bandwagon again. Not quite on track for the reading challenge, but managed to claw some back!

Congrats, everyone! Nice work/play!

I ended up reading about 860 pages in all.

The 3rd book I wanted to get to was The Tea Rose. I'm going to knock this one out, too, thanks to the readathon getting me started.

By the way, if anyone wants to jump in on a game of Book Tag, anything you read for the Readathon gets extra points!

Veronique-
I liked Paying Guests quite a lot. Other reviewers said it wasn't up to her usual standard but it's my first time reading Sarah Waters so I wasn't disappointed.

Good job yall! Interesting books, lots of pages read/hours listened! I managed probably 600 pages total myself. Not bad with sickness, birthday and cleaning all mixed in, not to mention the doggies trying to "help" me read haha

Clare, I had the same reservations, but I think I found that there were 2 different voices in his 3rd book - as if someone else finished it for him. I found this book to be different in style, but there had been enough of a gap in time, that it didn't bother as much as it did with the 3rd book. I'm glad I read it as I enjoy the characters and their relationship to each other.
