A mercy rule, slaughter rule, knockout rule, or skunk rule ends a two-competitor sports contest earlier than the scheduled endpoint if one competitor has a very large and presumably insurmountable lead over the other. It is called the mercy rule because it spares further humiliation for the loser. It is common in youth sports in North America, where running up the score is considered unsporting. It is especially common in baseball and softball, in which there is no game clock and a dominant team could in theory continue an inning indefinitely.

Welp, I just finished the audio of Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire 10/8/16. Yep, MURDER! One of the professors at the college is murdered.

I finished reading Thursdays at Coconuts this morning. One of the main characters has an office job.

My book is a point for the Storm and Brindi's book is a point for the HIT Squad.

So I think I've got this game figured out...

I finished Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children on the 6th. It contains multiple murders, the first of which is (view spoiler)[Jacob's grandfather being killed by the hollowgast. (hide spoiler)]

And I finished The Book Thief yesterday which is about Nazi Germany, so lots of murder there.

Would that be 2 points for the HIT Squad?

I finished . The main character, Sigrid, works in an office. Don't ask me where, cause the word is in German. Kind of sounds like patent, but I'm probably wrong.

I finished this audio book a various Grimm's fairy tales, Grimm's Fairy Tales, and of course there are murders....like Gretel pushing the witch into the oven.
