PtP - Team Onederful

Diane, that looks awesome, all you have to do is add the date finished and you have a great record for the the team. As long as it has the info and is easy for you to confirm, that is the most important thing!

Review: I loved this book. It is such an emotional read. I lost count how many times I cried in this book. The main character, Neva James, is torn between her love for two men while dealing with her father's death. One knows about her past and her nightmares and the other doesn't. It also has a cliffhanger ending so I had to buy the next book to see what happens next. I would recommend this book if you like emotional roller coaster reads.

Jane, if you would check my postings in message 47 and see if it is okay, I would appreciate it. Let me know if I need to change anything, add, etc.
Nicole, I will get yours posted before long :)

Looks good Diane - to make it easy, just add their completion date (don't worry about the rating etc) once they have finished and posted here, AND you know their posts comply with the rules. And you are done :)

First in The Boss series.
Completed 5.31.14, *3 Stars*
I am not sure how I feel about this book, probably just three stars for me. There wasn't anything really wrong with it, but a good part of the time I was reading it I was really frustrated. I liked and then didn't like the characters. (And at times really didn't like them!) The story was good and then it was slow. Yes, frustrated is the best word. And I truly hated the ending. I get that the big new thing is what seems best called the 'soap opera book series' because that is really what it is like, but I want at least some sort of ending to each part of the serial. I did not get any sort of resolution with this one. Though I would like to know what happens, so for a change I wouldn't mind if someone spoiled this series for me! Not sure if I will continue, but certainly not anytime soon.

Review
Intriguing tale, the first in the Krewe of Hunters series. I enjoyed watching the team come together and meld into a unit. The basic question, was the guilty party human or a ghost, was not unusual. However, Heather Graham straddled a fine line and did it with a master's touch. The team made their own beliefs in ghost apparent but kept an open mind as to whether it was a ghost in this case. I really like the character of Angela and seeing her come into her own. I found Jackson fascinating. I hope to read more of this team in the other books of the series.

This was fun! My little sister just spent several months in NYC and my uncle and his family moved to CA years ago - so the culture clash in this book felt just perfect! Suze is tough with a gooey center and a very likable if unpredictable character. I loved the three step-brothers and their distinct personalities and felt they worked well to pull the story along and keep you grounded in the real world (versus supernatural).

It's actually really easy! But it sounds difficult. This is what I do:
1. Right click on the time stamp of the review post and select Open Link In New Tab.
2. In the new comment box, click on (some html is ok). I copy and paste the coding for Link (2nd option) for each review that will need to be done.
href = "http://www.goodreads.com" > my link text (this is what it will look like, except with out the spaces)
3. Copy the link from the address bar of the review post and paste in between the " "...but you need to remove what is there now.
4. In the html where it says 'my link text' replace it with whatever you decide. I usually use 'review' or the person's name.
Does that help? If not let me know what you think might help you.

I was thinking this should be a good book. It's a New York Times Bestseller but I think it made it on the list because of the author not the storyline. The book was very slow to follow. I had a hard time getting through the chapters. This books follows the lives of two girls Jane and Scarlett moving to LA to make it on their own. It's loosely based on the life of Lauren Conrad which I found out after starting to read it. It was full of young adult drama but just not enough to capture an audience's attention. I don't think I'm going to read the next book in this series but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't read it.

I'm confused (big surprise...lol). Are you talking about the time stamp above the post, like the one that will be on this one when I post it? Or are you talking about finding the review for the book elsewhere? When I right click the time stamp here, it just opens the whole page in another tab.

I think I've got it. I'm going to give it a try here.

This is my example...when you click on this link the first thing on the screen you should see is bamaace83's review post.

I'm not getting it. Do I erase everything, my link text, between the a's and replace it with the new link? Sorry, I'm just not getting it.

No, you just put the URL you want to link between the quotation marks replacing www. goodreads .com (spaces added so it doesn't make a link) and then you put whatever you want between > and < where it says 'my link text'. You could say 'my review' or 'week 1 review' or anything you want.

1.) You can just click on the time/date of your post, it will give you the url for that post in your browser. Copy that and paste it in your reply.
Or if you click on (some html is ok) in the upper right corner of the reply box it has instructions. Basically, you copy:
< a href=" http: //www. goodreads. com ">my link text> (I added spaces so it didn't post a link.)
If you click on the time/date of your post, it will give you the url for that post in your browser. Copy that and paste it in between the quotation marks and then put 'Jodi's challenge' or whatever you want to call it where it says 'my link text'.
And I hope I explained that so you can understand...
2.) Start by clicking on (some html is ok) in the upper right corner of the reply box. Copy -
< a href=" http:// www . goodreads . com " >my link text< / a >
I added spaces so it wouldn't make a link. Copy the URL from your shelf page and put it between the quotation marks. Then where it says 'my link text' put your shelf name or whatever you want. Hope that helps. You use the same process for any link you want to post, but if you want to post to a specific message, click on the date/time of that message before you copy the URL.

No idea, it took me a while to get it. Go to your original post, right click on the time and open it in a new tab. This puts it at the top of that tab. Go back to your original tab, go to the comment box, click on (some html is ok). Copy the link coding into a comment box. Go back to your new tab & copy the http. Now back to the original tab and your open comment box. Replace everything between the " "'s with your new tab http. Where it says >my link text you can put whatever you want to call your link, My Review or whatever. Does that help at all?

Looked good to me!

Are you in the SRC? Me too! I can't believe how many people finished this season - the tasks just keep coming!

And yes, you don't have to complete your book within the week it is announced - you just can't fall more than 2 books behind...

No probs :) ...Actually your review is in post 109 anyway...

Jane, Diane's links were just to our completion posts for the group. I think it was just for her tracking, we all posted them individually. However works for both of you though! (Yay, I'm not captain!!)

Looks like however you had it to start with was fine Diane. Sorry for any confusion :)

Looks good, Diane! The only thing it doesn't have that you would normally need is how it fits the category. But since it's a new to you series, there's no way to link anything to it. Well done!
