I'm sorry things did not work out. :(

I have started the Travel the World Challenge.
I told my friend about my idea of a Short Story version & she wanted me to get permission to start it.
I would like to do: Travel the World: Short Story version
The challenge is to do the same as the Travel the World, with this exception: the stories are all to be short stories.
You collect City Locations of the setting of the short story, or of the place the story/folktale is told, or of the birthplace of a foreign author telling the story.
Examples:
Rudyard Kipling told short stories about India. If no specific city is mentioned in the collection, just get credit for one location where he was stationed in India.
A folktale about Anansi in West Africa would get credit for a West African city.
Italian Folktales by Italo Calvino would get credit for one city in Italy.
Irish history stories would get credit for one location per book.
The idea is you get credit for one city per collection/book, unless it's a collection by O.Henry where the action may actually take place in NYC in one story & Austin, TX in another story.
Also, children's books count for one city. A book: What Happens in Antarctica? would count for a "city" in the Antarctic.
Even a picture book can count, like The ABC's of Iceland, with pictures of Iceland cultural items.
The members would list either a book read, or if only one short story or folktale was read, they could list that.
Example: Just So Stories OR
The Elephant's Child OR
"How the Alphabet was Made" from Just So Stories
That would be one credit from Africa.
What do you think?

When I copy my section of Finished books, for some reason the blue links & the covers do not copy. It only says the title twice in black letters. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!
hi helen, to copy the links properly you have to copy them when you have your post open. you have to see them written like [book:The Case of the Angry Actress|520460 or with those <> marks to make them work

Thanks, Rosa!

DO you know how to do bold or italic? Just insert the word spoiler for the b or i.
At the top right side of each message box there is (some html is ok), if you click that it tells you how to write codes. :)

Thanks, Joanne -
I’ll give it go. I am pretty clueless - hence all the posting on the wrong threads, starting parts out of order, losing my original post, having to split posts as too many characters, etc.
I am using my ipad on Safari when I post on here. We have two desk top computers and a lap top - but I seldom use those.

To insert a spoiler tag, simply type <*spoiler*> at the beginning of what you want to hide, then <*/spoiler*> at the end. You'll need to omit the *s when you type it (I had to put them in so the code would show up here :)
If you want to check that your text is actually hidden, click on the tiny gray (preview) link right next to the Post button, and you'll see your message before you post it. If you've done it properly, you'll see View Spoiler in your post rather than the text it contains. If you still see the text, then something's not right :)

Thank You!!"
On the Main Page of TLC, you go down to Hall of Fame.
/topic/group...
Then once you are in that folder, you can either look for your name in the New Links
/topic/show/...
OR
Look down the list for your name.
/topic/show/... - Link to your thread.
Depending on how long it's been since you have earned a badge, sometimes you need to go to page 2 or 3. :)
