Wasn't planning to. β But it's going to be hard to miss it. All major squares have giant TV screens, all bars have TVs outside (and there is one in my building right under my windows) and my brother is in the next room. We are already banned from living room when games are on. :P

I'll be still at work during the Germany - Portugal and the USA - Portugal will be at 11 PM on a sunday... NOT FAIR!!!!

For first half-time I'm still on the way home from work. (It wouldn't surprise me if we get live feed in the bus :P) If there is anything we get seriously here, it's football

The buses here are displaying "Go Portugal" for a month now.

Duration: June 10, 2014 - ?

Ste..."
The teams are vicious? You should see the fans. The only thing I know is that if Argentina wins the world cup hosted by Brazil, there will be blood on the streets.
Even "friendly" games between the two never end without at least 2 or 3 being expelled - sometimes even the trainers are.

I didn't see that here (but wasn't really looking. Usually there is book in hand :P). But all the buses, trams and most of the cars have little flags and stickers on them. Those red&white squares are hard to miss. :P
I need to get myself a T-shirt for tomorrow. Don't want to stand out. β

I didn't see that here (but wasn't really looking. Usually there is book in hand :P). But all the buses, trams and most ..."
True. I already have a red shirt on hand

"
England is in the same group as Italy... ouch! Good Luck!"
I know! But it can't be as bad as my poor home country, Australia, who are in a group with the Netherlands and Spain. We can but hope...

My son and I went out and bought shirts a couple days ago. We didn't bother with USA shirts. He bought Germany and I got Argentina. We already have the DVR set for games we won't be home for. Been looking forward to this for months!
Question for Sonia: Does step 1 have to be complete before starting on step 2?

No. The order doesn't matter. However if you are choosing the option "follow the championship" you have a few weeks before knowing which teams to read.

Let the games begin!

Everywhere you look it's red & white. Interesting, no green & yellow. :P
When is our kick-off? I've finished book yesterday I could use here :D (those Os are kinda hard to find)

If you enjoy partying, today is the perfect night
1) look for the yellow & green people, they have meat, samba, beer and football
Or
2) go to saint Antonio festivities. They have parades, sardines, caldo Verde and beer or wine

So, since we (Croatia) are starting today, I can start challenge today? Or when?

I wonder why?
:-D

*yelling*
What? You have to speak little louder! I have perfect surround system. Brother in next room, neighbors on the other side, and few TVs coming in from outside :D
There were also firecrackers, little firework and those torch thinigies. I'm still trying to get the smoke out of the room :P

Ahahaha
I'm still cheering for Croatia - specially to avoid the noise of the green and yellow neighbors - but the Brazilian goal was good. Almost as good as the Croatian defense a few minutes before

I haven't seen it. TV is on, sound is muted (I'm listening to Dresden :P) and I was working on something on comp
Hey, that just wasn't fair! It's obvious judges are for Brazil. :P (I've seen that goal)
