or John Sandford's Lucas Davenport series (28 books)

J. R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood (17 books)
Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series. ( officially it has 17+ books. This author posted a lot of deleted scenes or just something small to keep us going till the next installment on her newsletters. So looking at the series page it's almost 50+)

The Weekday Brides Series by Catherine Bybee 7 books
Sharpe & Donovan Series by Carla Neggers 7 books and 1 Novella

Bleeding Stars series A.L. Jackson 6 books
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas currently 6 books plus 5 novellas

So many excellent series nominated! Some I've read, some I've started and some are on my TBR.
Grant County/ Will Trent is a group read in the J.D. Robb group. It's just started if anyone wants to join for that one.
Kate Burkholder is excellent, and Chicagoland Vampires and Psy-Changeling are a lot of fun.
I definitely want to continue The Gaslight Mysteries and would love to read Throne of Glass.
The only one I won't read is BDB. I've read up to book #5 and its just not my cup of tea although many many others simply adore it.

Tales of the Otori by Lian Hearn 5 books
As there are several different genres listed in the nominations, perhaps we can divide the books into 3 general categories and choose one from each?
Say:
PNR/UF
Mystery/Thriller/Romantic Suspense
YA
This might ensure that there is something for everyone.

@Lauren - I like that idea!

I like it. Maybe add Fantasy somewhere in there, since there are a few of those in the nominations too?
I’ll organize into the genres the books fall. Need you fantasy lovers to nominate some series! I’d be up for participating as it’s a genre where I don’t have much experience, except for UF.
Bring it!
Bring it!

Jane Whitfield series by Thomas Perry. (8 books)
Dave Robicheaux series by James Lee Burke (21 books)
John Rain series by Barry Eisler (9 books)

I've started this series, and would love to continue it.

Here are a couple of fantasy nominations:
Chronicles of Elantra by Michelle Sagara. The series is still being written, but it's episodic, so each installment stands well on its own. There are 12 currently out.
Realms of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb. This is actually several trilogies in the same world with a continuing story arc. The final book of the latest trilogy just came out this year. There are 16 books.
I would also like to nominate the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. I read the first one ages ago, but now that the final book is due next year, I'd like to get back to it.

Believe it or not, I’ve collected all of the Robicheaux series. Came so close to nominating it:)

And...the others have already been listed. I love being part of a group who thinks like me. :-)

I am writing up my noms and I had Chronicles of Elantra on there. At this rate I won't have to nominate anything, haha!

There's a group read of Grant County / Will Trent in the J.D. Robb group in case you are interested. It's just started.

We’d have to begin with the Grant County series as they’re connected and it precedes this one. FYI, we’re doing a Group Read of both in the J. D. Robb group. Just started #2 of Grant County this month.

Great choices I'm currently trying to get through Assassins apprentice I think I'll go to the ship trilogy next though.

October Daye Series by Seanan McGuire {11 books, 17 novellas}
Lucy Kincaid Series by Allison Brennan {12 books, 2 novellas} This one is connected to the No Evil trilogy, so we could start with that?

Tell you what...when the fantasy choice is selected, we’ll leave it up to the group planning to read to consider the timing of the series read.

I’m up to #5 in Monkeewrench. For a time a few of us read a couple of the books together.

The Ship Trilogy is my favorite of the ones I've read. It's been so long since I read the first trilogy, I need a refresher!

Sounds good to me, thanks!

You're braver than I am. I never buy more than one book ahead in a series. I've been burned before where I end not liking the series or wanting to continue and getting stuck with a whole bunch of books I'm not going to read.

There are only a few rules:
1. You're limited to nominating a maximum of three series
2. Each nominated series must have at least three books (more than five are preferable)
3. The books in the series must be available for purchase.
4. Your nomination must include the series name and author (check on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ for the proper series name).
Nominations will be open until October 14. At that time, we will set up a poll for everyone to vote for their choices. We will do three polls at the same time to allow everyone an opportunity to cast three votes. (Only one vote per series!) The three series with the most votes will be selected as our group reads for 2018, in accordance with the outline in the first paragraph.
Let the nominations begin!
