Am I the only one who has this problem? Everyone is super nice about it and I don't think they judge me... but I do wonder if I come off as a bit childish by reading that stuff.

Pretty sure the target audience who its created for in the marvel comics is adults not kids, comic con is attented by mostly adults.
So I wouldnt call Marvel childish.
YA stands for young adult and is targeted at older teens and young adults in their late terns early twenties I believe and you can enjoy any genre as an adult.
Anyway even if you were interested in something that had a target audience of kids theres nothing wrong with liking things. Examples Sanrio has a lot of adult fans and some people would consider their products childish.
Childish is like beauty everyone has a diffrent view on whats childish or not. Try not to stress about what others might be thinking and enjoy reading what you like.

Some of my friends look at me like I am the alien when I jabber on about the latest sci-fi/fantasy I have read. I used to find it sad that there was no one with whom I could share the joy - then I discovered the internet and discovered I am not alone.
Don't be embarrassed at work but also find a more appreciative forum to share your thoughts.

There are times when I am not sure if I want my local librarians to see some of what I read even though I am not ashamed of it. However, some books I read for challenges, etc, are not my usual fare.
Like Zeejane there are some covers I prefer to keep to myself, although normally I don't read romances. I did read some of what I think of as scifi smut romance for a book game last year--it was rather funny and I enjoyed some of them even if they are NOT what I usually like and it was stuff I normally don't like. I was very happy they were on kindle unlimited so no one, including me, had to look at the covers too often.

Honestly that's not a bad idea, I've thought about bringing my ereader/tablet with me (mostly because I don't really feel like lugging around an expensive Transformers Comic Compendium that's bigger than our SAT Prep books) but I think everyone will be happy to know I've started to be more open about what I like and don't like.
I was mostly scared due to the fact we have a Reader's Advisory Roundtable we were all going to, and once again being the youngest person in the room, I felt childish to say what I was talking about versus everyone else. However I realize now that I have a knowledge that most (I would go as far as to say the entire group bar one other person actually) people on the staff don't have.
Not sure about anyone else either, but I'm starting to make peace with the fact its okay to put a book down and stop reading if you don't like it.

I found it very freeing when I got the the point where I felt free to stop reading a book I don't like or am not in the mood for. I still finish some of those, but not nearly as many.

I got my second one today. Last time my only symptom was a sore arm that started to hurt in the middle of the night. Today my arm started hurting within about half an hour, so I keep moving it to try to keep it from hurting more than last time.

They said on twitter that the site is experiencing an outage, but they are working on it.

Paperback Book Day is observed as the anniversary of the date that the first Penguin paperbacks were published in England back in 1935. Back in the day, only the hardcover books were of good literature. A lot of people did not have the money to purchase the harcovers, though.

I am a big fan of paperbacks. I just like the feel of them in my hand.
I have a small collection of Penguins from the 1960-70s but the paper has browned and most of them are falling aprt due to the quality of glue used.

Actually, it's to read 24 hours within 48 hours :)
It sounds cool, but I'd need a special time to do that since I live with my husband and 3 kids (adult kids, but still we have a lot going on and the youngest, 21, who is in college, is just learning to drive (my kids have to pay their own way, for several reasons).
