For the 2019 list making process, the intention is to participate in it during the read a thon, so make a suggestion or a second or vote in the poll that's upcoming tomorrow.

I finished Clouds of Glory today, which is a biography of Robert E Lee so it fits for nonfiction if that is still open.

I made a suggestion in the last poll so I have to wait 24 hours before I can suggest or seccond.

I´ve had some busy days with extra meetings etc. and very little reading time. From today should be better.

I´m reading Rejsen til SELU
that fits #11 borrowed from the library and #5 reject prompt (A book with a woman on the cover).

Next up is that has a child as the main character #8.
I´m also game for reading a romance book, picture books, and a beautiful cover book, depending on what´s needed - I have ideas and books lying around for all prompts I think ;)

I'm reading a non fiction book Austerity: The History of a Dangerous Idea by Mark Blyth. Does the reject prompt count 2018 or 2019 rejects? I think this book can count towards the 2018 reject: A book that maks you think

I finished Gunpowder Moon as an audiobook - 7 hours, so I’m definitely maxed out for audio. I put it on the spreadsheet as a sci fi read, but it would work as well for mystery, so it can be moved if that helps out. It also counts for ATY.

If you don't get a chance to suggest or second in the upcoming poll, voting in the poll definitely counts as participating, so everyone should have the chance to do that.

Not to spy on other teams ;) but I would also count it if you just comment on the process (in my opinion).

I didn't get a chance to update our game board before I left for work today, so you'll have to wait until this evening to see what fun things we uncovered. Hope you guys enjoy the anticipation, haha.

My two favorite book to movie adaptations are:

The Painted Veil (I actually prefer the film to the book on this one, but that could just be because I saw the film first, and I think it's absolute perfection.)

Jane Eyre (The new movie that came out in 2011 or 2012. I also saw this before I read the book. Maybe there's a correlation there. Like if I read the book first, I have too many preconceived ideas that the movie can never live up to.)

And the Lord of the Rings movies are great adaptation too!

Also, I'm currently reading 9 Days and 9 Nights, which can count for romance.

We read two picture books last night...Big Smelly Bear, my favorite, and A is For America.

For the group read of a short book we read this year 84, Charing Cross Road. It was great. Then someone at the senior center gave me an old OLD, black and white video of the movie. It was timely and great fun.

There's a movie? I will have to look into that. I found that book so delightful.

I guess that´s what the prompt means? The reject prompt is: "A book with a supernatural character (vampire, werewolf, witch/wizard, zombie, ghost, etc.)" The book has a massive amount of zombies, and mutants and aliens...
I put it there, but we can move it to the library read, if we need to (I just thought the library one is easier to fulfill).

Johanne - I would agree with putting it there since many of us are reading library books. I’m curious to look at our progress later tonight! I’m not getting on the computer until I finish the book I’m reading.

I finished 9 Days and 9 Nights, so that completes the romance prompt and is 272 more pages for me.

And I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get on my computer tonight to update the board. I will definitely do it before work tomorrow.

I finished Annabel and counted it for #18 set in another country and it brings us up to 30 books which completes #3! Great book BTW.

Perfect! I added it to #2 and increased your books to 3 and added 310 pages.

Chinook - If you are maxed out on audio, you can convert the rest of the time to pages. You only have 100 so I think you may be understated.

Maybe my book could put it in the task #2-5 (2018 reject prompt: A book where the main character is a psychic, medium, clairvoyant or empathy) and the JOhanne's book in the #2-11.

Good idea! I switched them.

I just finished There There and updated my page count. It only works for library book, which we already have, but it put us over 7500 pages, so we now have #9 as well! The cover is almost red, but not close enough.

Katie - please uncover #9. We’re killin� this one, too!

I thought There There was really good. It's from the perspective of many different characters that all comes together in the end. There are definitely some unpleasant aspects, but I think they are probably a good representation of a side to urban Native American life. I'd highly recommend it (but would also highly recommend Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI and the author Louise Erdich.

For Pride and Prejudice, most would go with Colin Firth, but I like the Keira Knightly one.

Katie - The only tasks we have NOT completed are: 4, 7, 8, 17, 23, 24. The rest can be uncovered. Also, since we have one member who has not checked in once or participated at all in the challenge, can we count the group tasks as done without her?? Maybe she forgot about the challenge. I feel like it's a little discouraging when everyone else is participating.

I read two children’s books, they are La bruja Mon and Miguel y el dragon.

I read The Girl from the Metropol Hotel: Growing Up in Communist Russia for the "read in one sitting" task. 176 pages. And, I read 1 children's book About Habitats: Deserts to finish up the 10 children's books.

So there's Kindle edition of Crazy Rich Asians (the audiobook I'm listening to now) with a red cover:

I'll finish my red cover tomorrow morning too. We're so close!
