I prefer to put my goals as the number of pages/day and books/year... At the start of 2019 I had challenged myself to read at least 70 pages per day, and finish at least 30 books this year... So far a little lagging behind but catching up :)

Just finished my first book of April.. The Art of Always Being Right by Arthur Schopenhauer
This book was the first on my list of philosophy books. It turned out to be more of a self-help book than a philosophy one :)

The tricks mentioned in the book to repute your opponent are occasionally humorous. The introductory parts are well written and well organized while the latter chapters are less appealing. Overall, it was a good read...

Finished my second book of April. The Ant and the Elephant: Leadership for the Self: A Parable and 5-Step Action Plan to Transform Workplace Performance by Vince Poscente is a beautiful parable about the life of an ant whose colony is struck by a storm and is left devastated. The story centers around the ant, Adir and the elephant named Elgo. Brio is a wise owl who takes the role of the mentor and guides them on the difficult path towards the valley of their dreams, Vaha.

Its a short and simple book and can easily be read in one sitting. Highly recommended..

Finished my third book of April. The Leadership of Muhammad had been on my shelves for a long long time.

So finally I decided to read it, to have a peace of mind by getting one step closer to "clearing my shelves" :)

I was expecting this to be a biography but it turned out to be more of a self-help book that focuses on leadership attributes. John Adair gives examples from Prophet Muhammad's life enlisting some of his leadership qualities..
