Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1913 comments Hi team!

My name is Kaley. I live in Indiana in the US with my fiancé and our two dogs and one kitten. My favorite genres to read are contemporary romance and new adult, but I also mix in some mystery/thriller and other genres from time to time.

This is my second time playing Tower Teams. I played last year on Team Bellatrix Lestrange (with a few of the same people I see here on this team! hello again!) and it was so much fun I couldn't stay away.

Looking forward to this challenge with you all!

Hello team,
I'm Tea, reason you ended up in gluttony. Sorry about that. Sonia thinks pink agrees with me so I'm stuck with it if there isn't something that can be connected to Hobbits :P For those that don't know what I'm talking about, those things are connected to themes in previous team challenges here

my challenge shelf - ttvii

I can read mostly everything except horrors (Stephen King's kind). I prefer staying away from non fiction, new adult and most of young adult. I'll read those if I need to, for team and challenge, but I can't promise there won't be complaining and whining :)

Since I should probably change that title next to my name (snake doesn't make much sense anymore), I'm open for suggestions theme-connected

Hannah (diamond_rebel) | 190 comments Hello team!

I'm Hannah, I live in Wisconsin with my husband and our wild and crazy pup, Flapjack. I read all genres but SF/F and Mystery/thrillers are some of my favs. I think being a part of team Gluttony is very appropriate for myself.

But you ARE a snake, Tea!!! I special one ;-)

But as we're more Gluttons right now than sneaky snakes, how about 'a glutton for pink'?

message 23: by LaurLa (last edited Sep 21, 2019 01:22PM) (new)

LaurLa | 2334 comments Hi all - I am LaurLa and will hinder help Louise guide us through these towers of sin! We've captained together before and she didn't ban me so I must not have messed up things too bad ;-)

As mentioned above with Kaley, I'm also from Indiana. I'm married with 2 adult-ish boys, one away at college and one... not. We also have a dog who pretty much rules the house.

I read romance. End of story. Ha. I'll read almost any sub-genre of romance but like Tea, I try to avoid YA and horror. I definitely avoid non-fiction (real life is enough NF for me) and will read SF or YA under duress but it will still probably be a romance. I will read horror only under extreme duress. I can be bribed with chocolate, though.

Here's my shelf: nbrc-tower-teams-vii

This is my third year in tower teams, so definitely a glutton ;D

My shelf is here - /review/list...

I read mostly romance - paranormal, mm, fantasy, sci fi, historical. You name it, I read it. For a change of pace I also read mystery, thriller, fiction, nonfiction and pretty much anything else, except YA. Those are rare and FAR in between.

Louise | 3295 comments Hi everyone, I’m Louise from a Currently very wet South Wales where I live with my OH and my 3year old Spaniel Cross. This is my third time doing Towers and I have to admit to being a bit addicted to Team challenges.

I will read pretty much anything and have been known to delve to murky depths in search of that elusive point. Last years Quidditch game in Towers nearly had me reaching for the bleach! Saying that my go to books are generally Mystery/Thriller, YA, Fantasy (especially if there are vampires), chick lit and contemporary. I have also recently branched out into audio books, although not my first choice.

Charlie (miss_charlie_d) | 206 comments Hey guys! I'm Charlie, I live in Omaha, Nebraska and am a Slytherin!

I will read pretty much anything, but when doing these sorts of challenges will lean towards romance because I can get them done so quickly! They are my guilty pleasure :)

Gluttony is (sort of) perfect for me: I love historical romance, I have a problem not finishing a series, and I often binge on authors and/or series. I don't, however, like the color pink.

My Bookshelf: NBRC Tower Teams VII

First thought for bingo: On a Wicked Dawn and The Ideal Bride from Stephanie Laurens' Cynster series. I haven't done tower teams, so I might be thinking of it wrong. Do these fit? Pink cover, historical fiction, series is at 27 books. Here are the covers:
On a Wicked Dawn (Cynster, #9) by Stephanie Laurens The Ideal Bride (Cynster, #11) by Stephanie Laurens
*I would 100% re-read these books and could finish them in 1 afternoon lol

message 42: by Gareless (new)

Gareless | 48 comments Hi charlie! welcome to the team!

I was also thinking that a good sin bingo for avarice would be The Girl With All the Gifts Extended Free Preview by M.R. Carey since it has a yellow cover and it's also a dystopia!

Sin Bingo is when book you are reading fits all 3 things for a sin - cover color, genre and task.

Yes, there is a website for it but we are forbidden to use it now. Even mentioning the name of it can get us negative points
(some mods got pretty irritated with questions and discussions about it) :P
We are supposed to use common sense.

I have to admit I am not a lover of that sight, it is a prime example of colour madness. My OH is a painter and decorator and you would be amazed at how many different white’s there are!

message 48: by Louise (new)

Louise | 3295 comments With regards to cover colours we are using the common sense approach:
Eg: In Too Deep (Stewart Island, #1) by Tracey Alvarez gives an overall impression of blue so I would call it blue.
In Too Deep (Stewart Island, #1) by Tracey Alvarez this edition does not give an overall impression of a colour except possibly shades of brown. I would bring this to the team to decide. If we can’t reach a decision we would take it to the Captains for an ultimate decision.
