BTW, I am mesmerized by the Sherlock gif. I just can't stop watching it.

I can't wait for the challenge to start! I am saving all my longest books for after Nov. 8th.

My husband and I just moved to an apartment and now I get to reorganize my bookshelves. I've been making a list of the books I have that I want to buddy read. Yay for extra points!

That's awesome, Danielle! I have a confession (since I'm a giant SciFi/Fantasy nerd)...I've never been able to make it through the LoTRs. I can't handle all the walking!

I've signed up for four upcoming buddy reads and I'll be reading all of the BOMs for next month. Plus I might join the LOTR buddy read. I'm probably going to regret this later!

I read them about 15 years ago, so don't really rememher all that much lol.

What genres do you all like to read?


A bit about my self. I from the UK and I like to read romance in the forms of contemporary, paranormal, M/M, suspense, I also like urban fantasy, sci-fi and fantasy. Wheel a thon was my first team challenge and I loved it. I managed to read a whole lot during it. So can't wait for Nov 8 now.

Haha. No can help. Anyway we're about to be imenced into the hobbit world. I think I saw some others are joining us.

I read from just about any genre, but my favorites are epic fantasy, historical fiction, historical romance, and M/M romance. I think the only genres I don't read much of are history and bio/autobiography.

I have access to a lot of books so I should be able to do a lot of buddy reads.

I am looking forward to it, but I started a new job, and with Christmas during this challenge, I hope I can read. I read more at different times of the year, so how many books I read a year is not really a good indicator...more like how many books did I read last Fall.

Currently, my favorite genres are suspense, mystery, YA, and paranormal romance. I seem to read quite a few dystopia, but I'm not really a fan...

At this moment, I am reading for my real-life book club, on audio, and I'll be starting something else later this evening.

Well, well, you all sound like a bunch of book fiends! I am so excited about this challenge and am looking forward to getting to know all of you. I plan on getting the gif bug so that this old bird can join the "gif partee" lol Amanda wrote down the instructions somewhere for me, I just need to get my little rear in gear and find it. Oh, btw, I read a combo of genres, contemporary, classics, bio/memoirs, YA, history, Christian non-fiction and fiction though sometimes the fiction irritates me with all the silly fluff, ugh! anyhoo, looks like we'll have fun ladies :)

Hey, Marla!

I'm not far into Drums of Autumn and probably won't finish it before the 8th. I tend to read the Outlander series a few chapters at a time and break it up with shorter books because of the length. Give me a shout on the Witches of The Bayou thread if you're interested in a BR!

Ooh, I'm interested in too - I've been putting it off forever.

At the moment I've been really busy moving, so I'm just listening to one audiobook: The Ghost Writer. It's pretty good so far. I like the gothic ghost story feel to it and the narrator does a great job.

Once the challenge starts I plan on reading like a banshee :). I already have a list of books to read and I've been joining a lot of the buddy reads.

I can't stop joining buddy reads! It's beginning to seem a little crazy, at this point.
