Overachiever! ;)

message 56: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (mooselover) | 2702 comments Ezi, as you are reading all 4 books, I should think you can start as it doesn't matter what the pairings are.

Oh dear Logan, you are one too:D
Thanks for my MnG picks

message 59: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (mooselover) | 2702 comments I might be in the market for a good recommendation for Urban Fantasy. MM only...lol
(Whats urban fantasy?)

message 60: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments sorry! I didn't get home until 8 last night and basically passed out!

pairings and assignments (for 1 pair readers) will be up momentarily

umm, in the m/m realm - something like Among the Living series would be UF - book with fantasy elements that is set in an urban setting (i.e. Chicago, Atlanta, New York etc)

message 62: by Lisa (last edited Nov 25, 2014 04:19AM) (new)

Lisa (mooselover) | 2702 comments Great. I love that series.
I am going to draw either Urban fantasy or sci fi and I never usually read them.

message 63: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (mooselover) | 2702 comments LGBT - is that a specific sort of book or would any MM book be ok?

message 64: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments any book that has LGBT characters - so yearh pretty much any m/m book that has romance as a main shelving and you can tell its LGBT

message 65: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments just make sure you check series length - that was my bad - there is a minimum page/work count requirement - I don't think AtL actually fits - but it was to give an example of teh type of book

message 66: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (mooselover) | 2702 comments Thanks Dee. Ive read AtL. Im up to book 6 and I think thats over 300 pages...lol

message 67: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments sounds good!

message 68: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments the pair assignments are posted in their threads - as a note, I only posted names for people who signed up for a single pair - those who signed up for 2 are automatically included

girl, you better see what's up with Dex & Sloan. Oh wait, I am pretty sure you already read that one.
I think a new Infected book came out with Dylan and Ro Epitaph (Infected, #8) by Andrea Speed

message 70: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments jennifer you are in pair 2

message 71: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (eternity21) | 738 comments I just realized I didn't see myself in either pair I signed up in message #16

message 72: by Medavis66 (new)

Medavis66 | 238 comments Joyce, she didn't list those doing both pairs since there are only 2 pairs to read. Those listed, like me, requested a single pair.
:-) Elaine

message 73: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (eternity21) | 738 comments thanks Elaine I didn't realize that. That makes sense.

does anybody know if Always Kiss the Corpse could be used for the LGBT section? It didn't seem to be shelved anywhere yet except for LGBT.

message 74: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I don't even see it as LGBT Joyce and nothing I. The description indicates such, plus needs to be shelved as romance as well

message 75: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments Jennifer wrote: "I'm a dummy, so I pick my own LGBT vs. Urban Fantasy? So sorry; I jumped in here late and have not been following the tournament thus far. /noob"

Hi Jennifer - yes, you pick your own books that represent the themes

It was listed in Amazon as LBGT but no problem I found one I prefer more anyway. City of Ashes

message 77: by Calila (new)

Calila | 2746 comments I finished Pair 1, can I just jump into Pair 2 now?

message 78: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments Go for it

message 79: by Pamela Su (new)

Pamela Su (thebluebaroness) | 194 comments I'm done with my first pair. I would like to proceed to pair 2 if that's ok.

message 80: by Judy (new)

Judy (judyjdr) Am I supposed to just state the name of the books I'm going to read for this challenge? And then rate it on this thread?

message 81: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments no - on the thread for teh pair you were assigned Judy - this is more of a clarification, if books work
