I thought it was a very entertaining haunted house/ghost story.

Loved it!
One thing that has impressed me about the Michelle Paver books I've read is that she seems to be spot on with the historical aspect of it, including speech patterns and phrases.

That was fast! The group read started only yesterday. ;)
I finished the second comic from Joe Hill: Basketful of Heads (2019-) #2. It was pretty damn short for $3.99. :(

Sadly, that is a typical comic book price these days.

First book of 2020! A pretty decent read and nice one to start the year on! Nice and gory!"
I just read that a month or two ago. I liked it too. :)
I finished Black Ambrosia yesterday. It was an excellent vampire book and different from most others I've read.

That does sound interesting. I didn't even know she wrote a memoir.

Wasn't expecting much with this but ended up really liking it! Have already purchased the second book and will be reading in the near future!

really poor, lot of nothing happening really! Ah well can't be an amazing book every time, on to the next one :)

Much as we would love to LOVE every book we read, sadly some don't measure up. Better luck with your next read, Padders.

Dog Days was the standout for me, but overall it was an exceptional collection!

I know Keene was going through a dark time when he wrote this (I don't think he even remembers writing it) and it shows. This one is BLEAK and ANGRY, even for his own standards. 3/5

I enjoyed it - a very unusual and original tale.
